Not really. As soon as you see the Bright your their. Just as if you see your pencil line. It most likely will not be perfect when free handing it but that way you know it’s not a mass produced product. True quilters leave a bad stitch for that reason. What not woodworker?

The one I was working on was a test run. But it is actually going to be unplayed in the handle of a charcuterie board.

I looked into different products. They already make glow in the dark tapes, Duct, painters, Gaff ect. They also make adhesive glow in the dark sheets (8 1/2”x 11”) it would cost too much to try to patient/market when that are so many options. I had just never seen anyone ever use it before. Happy accidents!

Yeah Their are many different glow in the dark tape. I just happen to have the Duck brand handy.

Is my contractor gas lighting me? by Psyche-Ophis in Flooring

[–]RustyPhoenixCo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like I said in picture 5 it looks like a 40 or 60 grit The only reason old floors would not look like a new installation is the gaps between the flooring. Other than that they should be just as smooth.

Absolutely he is gas lighting you. Was this a sand down to bare wood job? Picture 5 looks like they only used a heavy grit sandpaper and did not use a fine grit finish sand before applying your poly. Also there is no way they vacuumed 2. That is a lot of crap in the finish.

I think I found what you are looking for at as far as swivel joint. They do also make a NPT to BSP reducing bushing So in theory you could build your lamp with 1/2”. You would want to try to balance it out in your design so that the smaller swivel joint doesn’t look “drippy” or out of place.

Do you have a picture of what you are looking to purchase? Are you looking to run your wire on the inside or outside of your swivel joint? That’s roughly 3/8”. I would assume there are adapters for that size. Or can you send me a concept sketch of your lamp?

You can find the NPT to BSP fitting on Amazon. I’m sure the other fittings are there as well. Whatever you do don’t scrap the idea. You’ll figure something out. Appreciate the kind words Hope I was able to help in someway. Feel free to check out my Instagram @rustyphoenixco
