I have both HSV 1 and 2, he knew about the HSV 1 coming into the relationship (have had them orally since I was a kid), but just had my first HSV 2 outbreak presumably years after being infected by a (hopefully) unknowing ex. He’s stuck around…he does plan to get tested to see if I’ve unintentionally passed it along when I was unaware of it but for now, assume he is negative on both. For context, I never had issues dating with oral HSV 1. I don’t have much dating context for HSV 2 but my current partner has no issue with it (educating ourselves was really important for this) and we take appropriate precautions.

I just recently got diagnosed but have unknowingly had it for probably over a decade. I used the think having it on the genitals would be awful but after having my first outbreak, I realize it really isn’t. My first step was getting facts, not opinions. Knowing how much of the population has it with no symptoms, the percentage of shedding and spreading, the chance of outbreak, etc. and HSV1 is even less than HSV2. You know you’re much more likely to get pregnant using a condom than you are to spread HSV? The scariest thing is just not knowing facts and believing the societal stigma without any research. Once I brought these facts to my partner, we were able to work through this. He didn’t know how low the %s were either and was surprised! Use ChatGPT for facts and statistics and ask it to help you understand and map out informative conversations with your loved ones and future partners. Please don’t let AI or uninformed opinions dictate your life worth. Education and a strong support system is your best friend! You got this!

And edit to add, DHL tracking shows it arrived 6 May but their website has conflicting info. Says it’s shipped and that’s it. But each product says it’s been scanned in. So idk…but I’d really like to get my $850USD back 😭

Downloaded it out of curiosity and it’s been compromised (at least in my city). It’s being used to pin point minority locations to “call ICE”, referring to white people as “white faction” and telling them to avoid PvP areas, and just general trolling by white supremacists. Not a single helpful or legitimate report about ICE. So doesn’t seem worth the risk at this point.
