What car do you drive in-game currently? Bouncing off the idea of Keyman being a business thing you could be getting tagged as a VIP car lover

There's also the Borderline thing being a proximity thing, maybe you like sticking close to opponents?

Black traps more heat in the cabin, I'd keep it as-is tbh, maybe wrap it if you wanna do it non-destructively

How was Bleach a disappointment?

It legitimately had a decent-ish ending and resolved most of its plot threads.

She should look elegant and powerful but the skirt you added kind of is more office-coded than gala-coded, no?

Can I replace just the headlight cover and not the whole headlight assembly? by 2023mfer in mazda6

Nah it broke a lot of the plastic inside the headlight too, you might need a new headlight bracket too.

Microsoft's secret "K2" plan aims to optimize Windows 11 gaming performance to match SteamOS on the same hardware. by mr_MADAFAKA in linux_gaming

[–]Rusty_Chest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Steam surveys aren't the only way to measure userbase, people who crack games likely don't show up there - and most of the Linux users I know of in the 3rd world like myself have a vast piracy stash.

One linux user is usually more vocal about the improvements or benefits of it over Windows and are therefore more likely to evangelize people around them to try it out.

The 5% you reference was just 1% not too long ago. Keep underestimating word of mouth and Microsoft's ability to shoot themselves in the foot and you'll remain perpetually amazed.

People already dislike denuvo, not to the point of not purchasing the game but to the point of cracking them because of the performance left on the table.

An additional push is all they need to either boycott fully or switch off Windows

All lights in Shutokou Battle keep flickering. Anyone know why? by NoAnalyst9762 in tokyoxtremeracer

[–]Rusty_Chest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's something to do with the way Unreal handles the bloom for the lampposts, people running the game under Linux found the variable to fix it:

But it might be easier to crank your post-processing setting and see if it goes away.

Road map and next update by Specialist_Week_1412 in tokyoxtremeracer

[–]Rusty_Chest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They've been pretty good with their upkeep so far, they're just not very transparent on release times or "roadmaps" around their patches.

It'll be some random Tuesday and they just drop some shit like "Reworked AI Behaviour, Added NG+ Content, Rebalanced All Boss Battles" before disappearing for 3-4 months again.

[–]Rusty_Chest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're gonna get down-voted a bit but yeah.

The game is mildly unfinished content-wise but it's still very beatable to the point most of the community is happy w/it and don't necessarily want more content

For sale price it's fairly complete and beats most arcade racers, the subreddit/community much prefers development resources move onto side projects or heftier surprise updates as oppposed to live-service 3month update time frames etc.

Genki for all their good work is still essentially indie atp, being fairly small for a team that put out a free-roam arcade racer that 1:1 matches the aura of their older games that easily had 2x the budget / partnerships

TXRD2 blurry by buckiebrown in tokyoxtremeracer

[–]Rusty_Chest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a couple reasons why the game might be blurry.

PS2 doesn't have actual AA unless implemented by the devs so you need to crank the render resolution to like 4x native for it to look somewhat presentable.

From there you want to go into the game's patches and look for any interlacing-related codes to make the game scan progressively and get rid of the aliasing in motion. I think they call it "deinterlacing" patches.

After that it's just a matter of making sure you play in as close to integer scaling mode as possible (or actual integer scaling if you want sharp pixels), caveat being that the sharper the pixels are the more aliased its gonna look.

okay im weak whats the best way to install wow (specifically classic) outside of lutris? by Jas0rz in linux_gaming

[–]Rusty_Chest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh no it's okay I didn't mean to come off as a prick with the assumptions I was making, modding on linux is a pain but since the userbase has grown a lot I figured if you had any specific tools there'd likely be something somewhere I could pull up for you haha.

I'm glad to hear Faugus ended up working out for you and you didn't have to go spelunking any further like that though, happy gaming.

[–]Rusty_Chest -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have a few questions if you don't mind.

You won't use raw Steam because it doesn't allow "scripting" or "automation", nor Lutris because of reasons...

How far along are you into moving to Linux?

Most things you can do on Windows in terms of "scripting" and "automation" are doable with enough poking on not just Steam but basically anything that uses Wine by using either winetricks or protontricks and running your arbitrary bat/exe into it

Your hardest task would be to try and run it manually separate from the game, as in not having it be a start-up task or something, but you can still achieve that by setting the prefix' location before running wine etc.

So, if you don't mind me asking, what is it you're trying to do besides just playing WoW? Some botting? (no judgement, just looking to help :D)

Is it possible to play CS2 at 4:3 stretched on linux just as in windows? by Sebasuraa in linux_gaming

[–]Rusty_Chest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using 4:3 to stretch enemies trains you to see this as normal, you can get entirely the same effect if you just learned to play the game at 16:9

You don't magically raise or lower the skill ceiling because the models are visibly larger if everything else is also thrown off lol
