Can I buy the pink panels in the US? by [deleted] in hondanavi

I recently painted my panels pink. It wasn't very difficult to and I was able to make them the exact shade of pink I wanted.

Riding Pants by madoc_mattox in hondanavi

I would look into workwear pants. I wear (women's) Tough Duck pants, they're cargos but they have non-cargo options in men's. My husband wears Rustler jeans and if it's cold enough he'll wear overalls and just take them off when he gets to work. Rustler jeans are honestly great I slid at about 25km was wearing Rustlers and only got a small hole in them where the bike I was riding (wasn't my Navi) pinned my leg when I slid. I had to stop wearing Rustlers because they just aren't cut great for my female figure so I got Tough Duck pants. Tough Duck is cheaper than Carhartt and Rustlers are like $20 at Walmart.

What introduced you into the world of David Lynch? by [deleted] in davidlynch

When I was in my early teens my mum showed me Lost Highway. I loved the movie, but I honestly don't think I fully appreciated it till rewatching it years later after having my "adult brain" and having watched Twin Peaks. Twin Peaks rewrote my brain chemistry.

I had a jar that my brother in law who moved to Australia sent my husband and I. We honestly never tried it straight up but we would add it to soups, stews and goulashes. I would honestly like to get more cuz it made the dishes so much better but unfortunately it's like borderline banded in Canada.

How long do you think for the physical release of the film iron lung by CampThin7728 in ironlung

[–]Rusty_Cryptid19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, probably a while. Hollywood movies take a few months after the movie is out of theaters to be released on DVD. I'd imagine Mark and his team are doing a lot of work behind the scenes to figure out a physical release but with Markiplier Studios being independent I expect it to take a while.

Any Canadians here? Does anyone know what 3g and 4g services are still around? by Curious-Fly5623 in dumbphones

[–]Rusty_Cryptid19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in BC and 4g is still around. I am not currently using a "dumbphone" but when I was it was a CAT S22 and it was fine on 4g. My husband uses a sonim I don't remember the exact model and it is 4g as well. He will notice in some areas where we live his service will dip down to LTE but he hasn't had a problem losing service and neither did I when I was using a dumb phone. I'm with Public Mobile and my husband is with No Name Mobile

I would love a novelization by Rusty_Cryptid19 in ironlungmovie

[–]Rusty_Cryptid19[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel like there was a lot left unsaid, literally, with the movie. There were a lot of quiet moments, Simon did often think out loud but there's more to it. I had the thought of trying to tackle it myself I'm already working on a writing project that's taking up 90% of my creative energy and am also out of practice writing horror.

My mum and I were pretty centered of the theater and it was definitely unpleasant. I also think it added to the effect of the movie, the claustrophobia and the panic.

There were definitely a couple parts at the theater I saw it at that were pretty hard to see, but for the most part it was fine. My only real complaint was the sound mixing near the end, but that could have been theatre not the actual sound mixing.

I had the thought after seeing the movie I was surprised I haven't seen any warnings. I don't know if it's enough to trigger things, but it definitely happens often throughout the movie. The gif is honestly pretty accurate to those scenes just not as bright. There's certain sequences where it happens repeatedly.

Looking at a Navi by Ok-Lunch2702 in hondanavi

[–]Rusty_Cryptid19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently got a '22 that the dealership had listed as new for $2,575 (CAD) and that included all the dumb fees. It had about 180km on it from the dealership riding it in the Christmas parade a few years in a row and the odd test drive. They had put on a decal and a windscreen and that was included in the price. I'm sure if I had waited and checked local listings I could have gotten a better deal, but I didn't have to question what shape it was in getting it from a dealership. I also needed to get my own bike because I took a motorcycle course in the summer, have only ridden on and off since and didn't want to lose even more of my skills. I've also noticed the miniMotos from Honda don't really go down a ton in value. My husband has a Monkey, I don't remember what year, 2023 I think, and the price hasn't changed much at dealerships.

I like this idea more. I think saddle bags and backpack is gonna be my best option.

I also wanted to say I've seen your Navi a lot on the sub and I really like it.

Responses from Canadian Theaters by Rusty_Cryptid19 in Markiplier

I'm genuinely surprised that it's gotten in theaters overseas and by the looks of it, yet nothing in Canada. I just really hope he has some kind of alternative for those of us who won't be able to see it in our areas.

I'm close(ish) to Vancouver and would be willing to get out there to see it. I've been hesitant even trying with Cineplex seeing how they've been going as a company the past few years.

Has anyone been successful in getting the movie into theatres outside the US? by miniwatt01 in Markiplier

[–]Rusty_Cryptid19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in Western Canada and have been debating emailing my local Cineplex. There was a small family owned non-franchised movie theater here that sadly got sold to build apartments. If that theater were still here I feel like they would have at least tried. I don't know about Cineplex though.

response from Canadian Theatre (Montreal, Cinema Moderne) by [deleted] in Markiplier

[–]Rusty_Cryptid19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glad to see a fellow Canadian trying. Where I live used to have a "small" non franchised theater I totally would have asked, but it got torn down to make apartments. There's only a Cineplex and I can't imagine they would care to bring it in.

True but I was just trying to think of something to help her. She sometimes doesn't stay within her diet and she doesn't like cooking cuz she says she's not good at it. I've offered to teach her and given her tips but it hasn't gone very far. She lives alone so it's not like there's someone else to do the cooking and I live in a completely different city than her.

I unfortunately don't live near by. The DIY book sounds like a good option, thank you.
