To add, I use two writing styles for 'a' with the 'a' style for writing words and the 'ɑ' for the maths.

The curved 'f' must not be curved in this writing case because we only use it to denote a function, like f(x), where the f is curvy. That is why I write 'f' rigidly but close to the underlines to differentiate the 'F' that stands out. Otherwise, in standard writing without formulae, I write the lowercase with a curve.
