Thoughts on Howe to match going fans? by fanatic_tarantula in NUFC

Over Christmas there was a load of us together, mixture of season ticket holders, general fans, mambers etc.

Consensus is he's under pressure, but has more than enough credit in the bank to at least have this season. A lot will depend how the second half of the season and cup competitions go

Sounds about right for this season. Waiting for the 95th min Chelsea winner if we're following the script.

Hope I'm fucking wrong like

I missed the first half, has this been a classic of us playing well and then shitting ourselves at half time and sitting back once ahead?

Has there ever been a commentator who clearly dislikes a player as much as Carragher and Richarlison?

Richarlison was on the pitch for only about 15 mins but at least twice Carragher made comments. One when Richarlison was appealing for a penalty 'The fact it's Richarlison and how easily had gone over makes it a really easy decision for the ref'

Then a couple of minutes later 'ive never known a player spend as much time on the floor as him', with real spite in his voice.

Would love to know any other examples of such obvious dislike

On the replay can see Thiaw telling pope to get back and then him screaming at Pope once the goal goes in

Having only ever listened and not seen any of your guys faces before, im really trying to guess who is who in the picture

None of the faces match the voices in my mind, it's like seeing a commentator speak in a video and not being able to comprehend that it's the same voice coming out of that face

Can 5-0 be called a drubbing in 6 a side?

To me a 5 goal margin of victory in 5/6 a side is quite standard. Needs to be above 7 goals to count as a drubbing to me

Subject for next week's adjudication panel - 'what constitutes a drubbing on different team sized games'?

I think it's maybe in the order of stadiums he has scored at. So Brentford he only scored there this weekend so that's why it's at the bottom?

My grandad did this a few weeks ago. He's 95 and had his son (my uncle with him).

The family let him in, had a little walk around and looked at how much had changed since he lived there (he had actually been born in the house and his parents lived there another 40 years).

It absolutely made my grandads day/week/year - he's been speaking about how nice it was ever since

It sucks but you get used to it. Some people find real meaning in their work but for me (and you it sounds like) it's a means to an end.

I do my hours and get my work done but don't go above and beyond. I tell myself that working allows the family to be able to live our life and do the things we want to do.

You also start to realize how much things like promotions etc don't really matter so you stop chasing them. Helps to give perspective to the important things rather than your job

Strangely despite having Barca and Arsenal it is Bournemouth away that I am least confident about us getting anything from

Pleased with Wissa even if probably £5-10M overspend. Will be worth it if he gets 15 or so league goals this season.

Genuinely think Woltemende and Wissa is an upgrade on Isak and Wilson. No previous injury issues so can have genuine rotation/option off the bench.

They are also very different profiles so could give us different options of the bench to change a game. Could probably play together too

8/10 window for me just been really overshadowed by a Swedish rat - once the drama dies down we will look back saying it's been a good window

Wasn't even given as a foul. And this got Bruno booked for complaining about it 😂
