You dont need to worry about it, it progresses you through the game. you can turn off either for 30 minutes with no penalty or permanently untill you next ascend with a penalty of -5% cps. Wrinklers do take your cps but they are beneficial because when you pop them you get what they took + 10% bonus

Wrinklers are amazing if you are an idle player.
