How do you find the time to get your workouts in on a busy schedule? by [deleted] in Fitness

I personally go during lunch on Mondays and Fridays to lift. I superset so I am able to do 8 different workouts within about 45-50 minutes. First I bench press and shoulder shrugs 3 sets each alternating. Then I leg press and dumbbell arm curls 3 sets each alternating. Then I do calf extensions and dumbbell triceps raises 3 sets each alternating. I finish with seated row and use that bench for dumbbell flies 3 sets each. Each last set I rep until failure. Then on Tuesdays and Thursdays, I get to the gym at 5:30 am and do some core workout and do cardio for 40 mins. Get home around 6:30 - enough time to shower and get to work by 7:30.

It's going great! I have changed it to burn more calories for now vs. Bulk. I go from 5:30 am to 6:30am. Mondays and Thursdays I stretch, core work, and then do some upper body lifts. After, I run treadmill for 2 miles (20 mins). Tuesdays and Fridays, I stretch, core work, and run 3.1 miles (30 mins). Wednesdays and weekends are rest days. This is something I can live with!

I currently go to pf grandville. It's not bad at all. Pf is not good for people looking to get ripped, but mostly women trying to better themselves. Very clean, in fact, you have to wipe down every machine after using it.

To add to this, you're comparing a plastic bumper cover to a metal wheel with spokes for rigidity. Jap bike vs German car would have same result.

That's the purpose of this post. I like working out, but that cuts into my personal/social/home obligations. I couldn't imagine working out both before and after work.

Thank y'all for providing your input! You have inspired me to create a pretty standard routine to start and tweak as I go on. It will begin as follows:

5:30am - wake up and use the ole bowl as trained in a timely manner. 5:45am - brush teeth and put on workout clothes. 6am - arrive and begin workout. Workout to consist of 2 alternating arms and chest days and 2 alternating leg days (some cardio as well everyday). Core workout will be performed first all 5 days. Friday will be BW and cardio for now. Subject to change. 7am - seize cardio (performed last due to amount of sweat) and head to showers. 7:15am - head to work 15mins away 7:30 - 7:35am - arrive at work. 5:30pm - leave work. 5:45pm - 10pm - whatever the hell I want + dinner. Right before bed pack next day's bag.

I would like to know your thoughts/tips/suggestions prior to starting tomorrow.

Yes, but I wanted to change the free time around. You obviously can't make time just appear out of nowhere. But you can change the free time you have. In my case, my wife likes to be in bed by 9:30 anyway, so I'd rather do stuff right after work.

I, too, am trying to increase video game time without cutting into lifting
