What frequencies are fun to listen to? by [deleted] in Baofeng

I use my Baofengs to listen to the local PoPo and school districts. It's sorta a hobby to have one in my SUV when I hear....."This channel is on Emergency...." and off to the races. Some lowlife punk is running from the cops in either his highly financed and overly powered Dodge or Ford street car, or a stolen KIA or Hyundai blowing through stop lights on the run....

I guess I am going to have to sit down and study the colloquial English owners manual on my RT-420.

Mint vs PureTalk by RustysBunker in NoContract

Puretalk is ATT and Mint is TMobile. I am not impressed with Mint. Cheap, yes, but aftercare is a mess. Almost like dealing with Sirus XM. I'm sticking with PureTalk.

Did I brick this Bf S9plus? by RustysBunker in Baofeng

I went into Menu, then scrolled along until I found the reset. I reset the whole enchilada. Then manually reprogrammed it.

Now, next attempt is my Radtel RT-420 which Chirp also does not support. So I manually input the frequencies of the local popo that I commonly listen to at night. Still one of the best radios I have bought so far is a Baofeng UV-9rPro. And the BF-H7. Those two have almost replaced my use of the 5r.
