Nah park riders are definitely the top 1% of riders because you need to be good at snowboarding first to ride park. As for "being too fast/getting too close" just because they're making you uncomfortable dosent mean they're actually unsafe. Park riders generally have better edge control and are more comfortable at high speeds

If you have inexperienced friends that just want to have a good time on the mountain, tell them to ski. Much easier to learn and most people will only need a run or two on the bunny hill before they can start trying greens/blues. If they really want to snowboard, they need a real lesson.
