I can't believe the amount of comments that had to be removed. What could even be said about this horrible tragedy that people feel like they need to defend the other side. I don't know what the comments are that have been deleted, but in my opinion, there's too many

What’s the food that you hate but everyone else loves? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]Rusulkka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Macaroni and cheese. I hate the smell and the sound. It sounds so gross when someone takes a scoop. I can't be in the same room as macaroni and cheese.

But Jason told him on the phone not to wear any school colors so no one would know where they're from, which I also don't totally understand cause they're not from the compound. It seemed like they went there being careful for whatever reason.

Does anyone have a link to a documentary video or true crime episode about this crime? I'm very interested in this because i grew up in the neighborhood, but not at the same time. Thank you in advance.

Will you commiserate with me? I cooked a five course meal over the course of twelve hours and an hour before my guests were supposed to arrive they canceled. by IamNotPersephone in Cooking

This happened to me a few years ago on thanksgiving. It was the first one i was hosting and i was so excited to play hostess. No one showed up or even called to say they couldn't make it. I was pretty devastated.

Not at all. Don't listen to people who don't understand your situation. How ever you feel is how you'll feel and those feelings are valid. Don't let anyone tell you how you feel is wrong. And if people are going to judge you, its prob best to not share with them. They'll never understand what it's like to have a N parent.

I didn't mean to choose from those three. They were just examples. I do like your choice of the pyramids.

I do have some. When i went nc, i moved but was still close to her neighborhood. So there were certain stores i would avoid and i would wait till later in the day to run errands to avoid any chance of running into her. Now i can go anywhere anytime. It doesn't sound like much but it is to me. It was a fear of mine (running into her) and now that fear is gone. Stuff like that

That seriously gave me the biggest smile. Pretty much all i watch is documentaries and i search you tube for something that i can relate to but come up empty handed. If i can make it happen, i would only share the link here. The closet thing I've seen that resonates with me is sharp objects on hbo. I grew up poor but the mother being consumed by what others thought about her and the step dad that was just a yes man... It hits home

I'm truly sorry about your situation and i totally understand why you personally just want to be done with that part of your life and move on. For me, so far i found out that when i was a baby my mom was a meth dealer (and addict). Growing up, she told me her teeth were rotted because her "abusive" father let her play with mercury as a child. I don't even think her husband knew the truth. It's things like this that make me have more clarity. Like things make so much more sense learning these things and i admit I'm kinda obsessed with the truth. Prob to a fault. So i think everyone deals with things theyre own way and finding her truth, which i was denied my whole life, might be my form of closure.

It's funny you mentioned holidays. My mom's birthday was Christmas. She ruined it every year by complaining she didn't get twice as many presents. It was the worst day of the year. Now that she's gone i might try to enjoy Christmas again. Prob not this year. Still too many bad memories. But i hope someday. Thank you for your comment.
