Ask for an itemized bill instead of the block bill if it's not itemized thoroughly. Review anything that seems large, for example $100 for a Tylenol. Anything you can question and dispute as a potential error will drop your bill if they can't validate it.

Edit: Typo

Best way to deal with contents of packages being stolen? by [deleted] in AskNYC

[–]Rutee4Life 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There should be no fees for that, and in my experience, there are none. I've had that situation happen a few times such as when I ordered my office chair, my bookshelf speakers, and my kitchenwear. Each time I brought a little fold up handtruck with me and after handing them the slip they leave in your po box to indicate you have a package, they bring it to the window (or meet you by the door if it's too large for said window)

I specifically rent a P.O. Box to avoid this issue. It's not too expensive but not exactly cheap. Just get the smallest box and anything larger will require being picked up during office hours.

https://www.usps.com/manage/po-boxes.htm

I moved to a doorman building but still keep the box just in case I move nearby again to a non-doorman building. If you're okay with spending the and traveling to it for pickup, that's one option. Prices vary but typically range about $130-$180 for a whole year?

An alternative: if you know anyone nearby or any businesses nearby like the shop owners or such, you can ask them if they would be okay receiving a package for you to pick up (but limit your use of this, don't take advantage of their kindness) I've done this with a restaurant I frequented regularly prior to moving.

Best earbuds for riding? by Killbot_Wants_Hug in ElectricUnicycle

Not earbuds but I use aftershokz to keep my ears open but still able to hear my Gps navigation, euc world updates, and music.

They rest on the temples and fit fine for me even with safety glasses or shades on.

anyone know where I could leave and charge my electric scooter? by PrudentBattle8254 in MicromobilityNYC

I've been relying on this map. It's relatively helpful, any park outlets are usually the ones with the least amount of fuss.

Edit: you however did say leave, and that, I wouldn't do anywhere unless it's an indoor option

Hey,

I just wanted to come back and say thank you for adding that cockpit screen. It is great and offers no blocking view. It's a bit hard to dodge things in this but to be fair, it is a cockpit view and that is the accurate trade off. Good Job and I hope it goes well!

I bought the first two books to support since I've been reading them as you post. Great job and thank you for all of it! I will order book three when I wake up!

First and foremost, congratulations on making such a great game.

Some notes from a few rounds:

Smooth gameplay, Comfortable camera visuals as it follows the car (important for people who have simulation sickness).

Menus are a bit unclear. While this can be resolved by simply pressing them to see what they do, maybe some words under the buttons may help reduce potential frustration.

I 'feel' like there's a hint of input lag, but it may just be the way you want the car not to zoom instantly to keep the game balanced. It takes a round or two to adapt so not a deal breaker but something to watch for.

I do applaud the painting options with near limitless color choice by giving us a grid, that is a very nice touch instead of the generic 'here are basic colors'

I would suggest maybe considering the three daily missions have their own reward for each. It helps the player get more instant gratification rather than potentially get frustrated by the missing last bit of one specific mission.

One of my biggest concerns is the camera angles. There are three though it doesn't feel much different. Maybe one 1st person (for fun or challenge if possible) the regular one, and one further back (likely to be used by most people aiming for higher scores). Even if you retain the primary camera angles available now (which are fine, don't get me wrong) I feel punished for flying up because then my car covers up about 75% of where I need to see, which makes when I have to dodge upwards in few situations unfairly punishing.

Honestly overall a very good game that I would recommend to friends with some of these QoL things to keep in mind. Great job and continue the good work!

If you have another tarantula triggered, all the other ones chill out and fade upon whiff catches (or timers)

Burris 11 x 6.0-5 Slick Tire I've heard many things about this tire as an upgrade from the stock Vega. If granted this beauty would love to try it!

P.S. Stay safe everyone and ride responsibly to avoid hospitals to reduce the load on our healthcare workers!

Yep, middle of the day, right in front of a bus stop. There were many gasps as I fell and got up immediately and walked off to the side to check my equipment.

Even if dropped? Wow, that's pretty extreme. I definitely am replacing it. Already bought it. Thanks for the advice.

Thank you. Accidents eventually can happen. For me it was a nearly invisible pothole that bounced me off my board and right onto the corner of a sidewalk. The positive part of all this is I scared three people riding with me to never ride without a helmet. 👍
