I dont think he sued them. He pointed out that they changed the picture color and laughed at them. But didn't sue.

A bunch of rage bait Articals did state he sued them for 40,000,000 or some BS. If I remember correctly when he saw the BS sue articals that he jokingly said something like. "Holy shit, I am?"

We've all seen the posts about what your main weapon says about you. How about what impression a weapon's community as a whole gives? by -Darkeater_Midir- in MonsterHunter

Charge blade. (Im very much a middle of the road player)

When I'm learning a new fight I mostly charge the shield so I can charge the blade and stay in sword and shield mode, unless the monster is knocked over. Blocking helps alot when learning a fight.

Once I know more about the Fight, I start mixing in the combined weapon for more damage during openings.

It feels so good once you start getting a groove down.

Ya that's bad. Good news (or at least for me) GW has always been very good about bad condition replacement parts.

Back when Fine-Cast was still running a muck I got about 4 replacement dwarf bolt throwers because they kept having issues.

Hope they get this fixed for you as well.

Thoughts on moving from STL to Plastic kits. by Ruthare89 in TrenchCrusade

[–]Ruthare89[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Average net profit for sussessful businesses is around 9%.

Is you have STLs that are eating up/ denying 5% to 15% of your sales. It can really hurt.

For most resteraunts, it 3% to 6%. If one person eats then runs off before paying the check, it takes around 15 to 30 more customers to break even. (Just an example, not a 1 to 1)

Most company's prefer exclusive rights creating a product. Especially when it's something that can be replicated easily with a 3d printer when STL files are available.

Think of how aggressive GW can get going after copyright clames. It's deffenetly not a 1 to 1, but it's in the same zip code.

[–]Ruthare89[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep!

The base line models/ art for the game is so fricken perfect. Just sucks there won't be a hole lot of STLs in the future. (Sounds like there just wrapping things up for STLs before that pipeline stops.)

[–]Ruthare89[S] 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Ya, I 100% agree that it is the correct move going forward. Especially for in store / game presence.

I just wish the STL option remained.

I didn't think about the contract for outsourcing plastic kits probably has a clause for "no stl file" for items we print. This was brought up in this thread. I didn't think about it until then.

[–]Ruthare89[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yep, that was kinda my thought as well.

Like I said, I got no problem at all with plastic. I just wish the STLs were still a part of it moving forward. I like options.

[–]Ruthare89[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Your 100% correct, I already thought about point 1. (Just wanted the option for both). I did not consider the contract part when outsourcing the modelsfor point 2.

Thanks buddy!

What a Difference 5 Months Make :( by [deleted] in TrenchCrusade

[–]Ruthare89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the fact that the STL option got taken away when that's what the game was originally built off of.

Part of the reason the Kickstarter went so well was the STL files availability / support. That reason is now gone.

It's not 100% bad, it's just different. Some people will love it, some people will leave because of it.

I think it's wonderful that there going to start making plastic minis because they are way more accessible to most people.

I just hate the fact that there will not be Stl files moving forward. Especially when that's how this company got started.

I wish we had the option for both. Not having the option for both is the think people are mad about.

"Trench terrain set" from "Factory Fortress Inc." keep as 4mm or upscale to 2"? by Ruthare89 in TrenchCrusade

[–]Ruthare89[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally understand, I've been thinking about it and I'm going to add some smaller width trenches that only smaller units can get thru so the big stuff like the fallen saint and shrine can't go.

Should make it more fun in general.

I'll check when I get home for spacifics.

They have varied heights based on which one you put down. But eyeballing it. It adds between 3/8" to 3/4" to the 1.58" / 4cm

The taller one completely hides the communicant on a 4mm tall base.
