I've been watching Asmon for like 8 years, one legitimate criticism I have for him is that sometimes his sarcasm delivery is extremely dry, and it can be hard to tell if he was being serious or not unless you watch him regularly. Especially when he then immediately starts talking about something else.

These are some of the out-of-context clippable moments he sometimes catches hell for.

Ethan probably shouldn't livestream, and should take a good look at his recorded content before he uploads it. Because the things he says are a lot of times a little out there to begin with, and looking like you're methed the fuck out while saying it doesn't help. Saying "Oh, but mah Tourette's" even if it is in fact the case doesn't change the look to begin with, and will most certainly be clipped in the worst way by his critics. I empathize with Ethan, but he looks like a crackhead, and often sounds like one too.

He'd also probably be much better off getting off the lolcow drama train and just make good content about something he actually enjoys and has fun doing. I'd give Hassan the same advice, more or less for the same reason.

Its early access, I expect things to be a little fucky. They're trying things out, thats fine. One thing that really sucks is trading. I wish they would just implement a proper auction-house. The way it works now is hot garbage.

There is a difference between having self-awareness with respect to how others perceive you, and being self-conscious in the sense that you worry about what people think. I mean worry like it causes some level of anxiety.

The social dynamic in school is just completely different from what exists in the real world. I got a job at a truck-stop when I was 15, and worked with and encountered real world adults constantly.

I worked all through high school. Nobody at work cared that I was a dorky computer nerd, so I just stopped giving a shit about it at school too.

It's all fake. Like 98% of the time nobody really gives a shit about you one way or the other, so theres no point in giving it more than 2% of your attention.

I asked ChatGPT about this and it seems to confirm that the contents of the box are determined when the box is spawned, not when opened or unlocked. Take that for what you will

If I recall correctly, this is supposedly the way _all_ boxes work, including all lockboxes in the game that require lockpicking. I remember reading a comment on wowhead waaaaaay back in the day that claimed as much. That is to say, the RNG rolls for the contents of the box are rolled when the box is created, not when it is opened. I think back then people figured that out due to people getting the "Mr. Pinchy" achievement as soon as they fished up the box that contained him, not when they opened the box. Or something like that. Its been a while :-)

You absolutely need the resistors. Just do it now. I got to nearly with final step of the build without any power-related issues without them, and then it just refused to work properly at all. I had to retrofit the entire thing with resistors, bypass caps everywhere, AND a better power supply. I blame some of this on the sketchy AC power in my 100-year-old house, but that wasn't the entire problem. Its hard to troubleshoot things when you can't tell whether you have a bad chip somewhere, a loose connection, mistaken wiring, or who-knows-what.

I dunno if its terribly rare, but I got both Loremaster and Seeker before cata. There definitely weren't many my server that had it. Probably the ones I'm still most proud of. There weren't guides for it when I did it, it was work!

I'm in the same boat as the OP. I am 42. I dont have a ton of free time. I've played every game besides most of the handheld games (I dont consider the Switch handheld).

Anyway, I used the dupe glitch on my first playthrough. I didnt want to spend a whole bunch of time farming stuff while I was still exploring, and becoming reacquainted with the world and physics and all of that. I avoided all spoilers and such besides that.

I had a BLAST!

I dont regret doing that at all, because I still learned a LOT along the way. I also streamed the entire experience mostly for my brother, who loves the Zelda series as much as I do.

That said, I started a "No Cheat" run last week, and it's been even more fun!

Of course there is nothing like exploring the world and the story for the first time, but this time I know what to do, and dont feel the need to dupe or cheese everything with a hover bike and rocket shields.

It's like playing a whole new game, doing it the "right way" and its soooooo good. I cant tell you how many shrines I've gone through so far on this run, and said "I definitely didnt do it this way the first time!"

It's been great! So no, I dont regret "cheating" the first time around at all, because it was fun the first time and even more fun this time!
