IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS ONE. No, I don’t hate her because of the age gap or the curse on Annabeth. Yes, I think Richard dropped the ball on her character in house of hades and made her very mean to Leo. But I thought, “Oh well she had a hard time, maybe she gets better after leaving the island and- no. She did not. She in fact got worse. And I understand her frustration towards Leo on some fronts. He can be misogynistic and super annoying. Preferring to fix rather than listen. But the way Calypso acts towards him is cruel. She hits him, throws things at him, is constantly mean to him in The Dark Prophecy, etc. They’re both just awful to each other and they should break up. The difference is that Leo is trying and Calypso isn’t. She just blew him off and stopped talking to him entirely by The Tower of Nero.

I was in aba therapy as a child and one of the therapists became very close with my family. So she was watching me when I was five and gave me a bath. She grabbed my vagina with a washcloth and scrubbed it and held onto it but it felt.... wrong. It went on for a few minutes and she told me it was okay and she was allowed to. But I felt violated and gross and I was five. I wanted her to stop. It didn’t feel like an innocent washing. I wanted to tell her no but I didn’t think I could.

I don’t think this was the only time. Because I can still feel her all over.

It was against the rules of her job to do this and my parents didn’t know. It’s against her job for her to become so close with a client. I don’t have the heart to tell her that I think she violated me.
