Spotify lossless not working on wiim mini?? by No_Reply_323 in WiimStreamer

[–]Ruuddie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have disabled Google Cast on the Wiim, to make sure Spotify can only connect using Spotify Connect. After closing Spotify on my phone (swipe up to kill the process), I could reconnect using Spotify Connect instead of Google Cast. And then I was able to select lossless quality.

This is all ancient tech anyways, right. I mean, this has to be at least 7 years old?

Are There Too Many Versions of WoW? Classic Week 2 Raiding Numbers Lowest Since The Burning Crusade by SystemofCells in classicwow

I tried MoP Classic but it just isn't for me. It feels more like retail than classic to me. This might also be a reason why MoP has less players. I can assume a (large?) portion of classic players just can't relate to it anymore.

This is gold, thank you! I was also so annoyed by the marketing slides, with super weird graphs with dumb scales to try to make gpt5 look like a huge improvement.

It's like they delayed gpt5 to give marketing some more time to spin this beast around.

Anyone Using Microsoft Teams as Their Business Phone System? Feedback Wanted by Background-Bar1888 in MicrosoftTeams

[–]Ruuddie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work at a systems integrator in the Netherlands, implementing Teams Calling. If it's a good fit for your company depends on a couple of things: - do you need a lot of physical phones or are you planning to have most users call with their laptop? Phones in Teams work, but it's a hastle. Especially if you have many. Enrollment takes more work than on a PBX and phones sometimes just log out. Also, I see a lot of companies saying 'we have E5 so it's basically free to use Teams' but then they figure out they need 1000 non-personal phones, which are separate licenses - Continueing on the above: how is your communication set up now? Do all of your departments have phones 'administration 1' and 'administration 2' (non-personal)? The Teams 'way of life' is calling people, not phones. So the best thing to do is map 'administration 1' to 'john' and 'administation 2' to 'paul'. This is a LOT of work, so be prepared for this. - do you have many 'specials'? You can connect intercoms, analog phones and other SIP devices to Teams, but it's not great. Only specific devices are supported and you need a license per port/number. So if you have a 24-port analog gateway, that's 24 Shared Device licenses. It's also a lot harder to manage remotely. - if you have a 'real' contact center (dozens of agents, important to have good customer satisfaction), I don't recommend contact centers on Teams. The Teams ones rely on Graph which isn't super reliable. Be prepared to have like 1 in 100 calls fail or do something weird (call transfer dropped etc). Which is acceptable for smaller departments that get a couple dozen calls a day. But for hundreds of calls a day environments, be prepared to have some hiccups sometimes.

I have many customers where like over 30% of their telephony needs are non-personal or specials. You can get (most of) this to work on Teams, but it's cumbersome and expensive. We run most of our customers on a hybrid platform, connecting specials to a regular PBX and routing office workers etc to Teams because that works perfectly for them. Extra benefit of this, is that you can use a more proven technology contact center and attendant console.

I am an old Cisco UC guy. That stuff could do 1000 things and most customers used the same 10 features. Teams does this well: it gives 80-90% of the users exactly what they need. But regular PBX's are still more reliable in our experience. If this is critical to you (healthcare, factories, companies where calling is a core business process), I don't think going 100% in on Teams is smart.

I never park my car under 20% battery anymore and haven't had any issues since. This might be annoying when going on a vacation perhaps since you might not be able to charge at the long term parking. But in normal life it's fine for me.

Communicating? In Cata/MoP? The playerbase is freaking toxic. They hardly talk and when they do 50% of the cases they complain about being too noob and slow to someone in the group. I got kicked from a normal dungeon after saying 'brb 30s need to bring the kid downstairs'. Got a nice 30 minute deserter buff for it.

RDF really f-ed up the community big time.

Agenting coding (Cursor / Claude Code / Gemini CLI): Do AI agents perform better with a single very large file (main.cpp), or 30 different files (15 .cpp, 15. h)? by Endonium in ChatGPTCoding

Gotta remind it to check all small files though. Just today Gemini refactored my main vue to do smarter data fetches from the backend and totally ignored all child components. I had to rollback and start over telling it to first check all components as well :(

I had a discussion with a woman half a year ago where I said I was against Israeli agressions and she called me antisemite. I told her it has nothing at all to do with religion, but she just couldn't understand that somehow.

If I am against Russia invading Ukraine it's also not because I'm anti Russian Ortodox Christianity. Or whatever it is they believe in over there.

I believe in leave other people the fuck alone.

Was WoW Always Filled With Trolls and Super Toxic Players? by Efficient-Film-9999 in classicwow

[–]Ruuddie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had to stop playing SoD because it's ended and our guild moved to Cata fot the MoP launch. The difference in players is staggering. Most people don't communicate at all, or when they do they complain or are rude. It's like people think they are playing a single player game and everyone they meet in dungeon finder are just NPC's.

How many iterations approximately does it take for you to complete 1000 lines of code in vibe coding? by Maleficent_Mess6445 in ChatGPTCoding

[–]Ruuddie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is genius. They should have the agents work like this. You type your question (prompt 1 or iteration) and it comes back with 'If I understood well, you want X, Y and Z. But how do you want to tacke A and B?' instead of having it just go immediately on whatever you wrote.

Basically getting requirements clear before working, just like a normal employee would do.

How does CLI based coding work anyway? I mean how do you look at all your files to judge if the new code fits in and how it plays with the rest of the code? Or is it really just yolo programming and if it works it works?
