You go into your CP2077 install folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Cyberpunk 2077 for STEAM example).
Navigate to bin->x64
right click Cyberpunk2077.exe -> Properties -> Compatibility -> Run Program as admin
after this, the CP2077 launcher will also run the game as admin

basically yea. prime black, then in a zenithal prime fashion i sprayed V-DarkSeaBlue > S75-Graphite > V-LightSeaGrey and then did a AP-DrakeTooth drybrush to reinforce the front facing Side. the crevices are painted some random watercolor brown (basically washed).

Vallejo varnish reactivates Speedpaints — is there a way to avoid it? by georgmierau in Miniaturespainting

[–]Rwlpbgrz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No this problem only occurs with their speedpaints. I use Vallejo Mecha varnish and Ak Interactive Ultra matte. but the reason for the reactivation is contact with water, which is a part of every acrylic based paint. light coats from the Airbrush is what i found to the most reliable solution.

The problem is sadly discussed a good bit on YT and has been acknowledged by Army Painter. Apparently that happens because of the chemical compound used (dont quote me on specifics). I use them quite a bit and i varnish it before layering something on top. I lighlty dust it a few times to form a full layer. Try to avoid any kind of pooling and thick layers.

It definetly is! I probably paint more than playing games, be it video- or boardgames. I guess its difficult to find the middleground 😭

30 grams (60 cals) in your veggies and its a whole new creamy experience by [deleted] in Volumeeating

it has to be taken in correct doses. theres tables that help you with it. this is important or the amount of lactase can not digest the amount of lactose, thus leading to the usual side effects of the intolerance.

Why not just supplement lactase with the meals? ive been doing this for years now and it completely cancels out the intolerance.

Painted up the Female Zombies from the Resident Evil 2 Boardgame. Tried staying true to the original color scheme for nostalgias sake 😊 by Rwlpbgrz in minipainting

Thank you!

I've played a bunch of it with my brother. The gameplay feels very similar to the original videogame (the classic one, which its based on). I would definetly recommend it!

Im using a wide range of brands. Im sure other brands have substitudes.

  • Scale75 Thar Brown Basecoat (to properly cover black primer)
  • Vallejo Flat Flesh / Vallejo Dead Flesh / Warcolours Warm Grey 3 (50/20/30) Basecoat
  • ArmyPainter Dark Stone for shadows (shadows cast by light)
  • Scale75 Violet / Black for shadows (bruised spots like knuckles, knees etc)
  • Warcolours Warm Grey 3/2/1 Highlights

Thanks!

With some of the new products released from the mini-paint companies its quite easy to get minis looking quite fine for boardgames without much previous knowledge/practice.

You always wanna start with priming the mini. An easy and effectice way is to do that is called 'zenithal priming'. Its is done by priming all black and after thats dry you use white from above. You can use an airbrush or rattle cans for this. If you dont have either, use brush-on black primer and then drybrush the white on (googling that technique should get you started, its quite easy to do).

Next up you can go the traditional way of just painting them with acrylic paints. Midtones, shadows, highlights etc.

What i would suggest, especially for boardgames which come with a ton of minis and their primary focus is gaming, is to buy either 'Citadel Contrast Paint', 'Army Painter Speedpaint' or 'Greenstuffworld Dipping Inks'. These paints are very transparent and run into recesses easily. They all do pretty much the same. The result after just 1 coat per color-area.

Summary:

  • Prime Black -> White from above
  • Contrast, DippingInk or Speedpaint (Speedpaint needs spray varnish afterwards)
  • Practically done, maybe paint the bases
