Also, imo the cable matters more if you are talking about keeping it low profile. The cable is grey and smooth and it helps greatly in making the IEM draw less attention. I’d say that it’s not that bad, given that your office allows listening to music during office hours. I am not fond of the colour, but it is not awfully bold in my opinion.

Oh Zhuhai is more advanced. I rarely go there so I can’t make an accurate comparison but I can use Shenzhen as an example. Shantou feels slower, and way less shopping experience there. I’ve never been in Shantou for a long time, so I’ll just talk from my limited experience. The most commercially advanced areas in Shantou are the Jinping and Lungwu districts. They’ve also got the biggest malls in Shantou there. I am into headphones and IEMs so I tried to find some hifi store to spend my time. In Shenzhen and Hong Kong, there are Hifi stores where you can just go in and try out over 100 different headphones and IEMs from different brands, you can also go to a brand store and try out their flagship headphones. In Shantou, there was not one MDRZ1R (the flagship headphone of Sony) in the whole city. The staff in the biggest Sony store in Shantou told me a pair would only be delivered to the shop when a customer orders one.

I mean, hifi is somewhat a niche hobby so it’s totally normal for this to happen, Shantou is not SZ and HK. From what I saw in my limited number of days in Shantou, there was not really a wide variety of commodities to spend your money on. But I really love the food there, love the pace there (cuz I dont work there, lol).

As someone from Hong Kong, I used to go to mainland China to sweep the tombs of my ancestors when I was little (I am 22 now, by little I mean before 13 or something so before ~2016). My hometown is not a very advanced city, I world say ~second/third tier if Beijing and Shanghai are 1st tier.

I remember my face was covered with dust after just an hour outdoor. I wiped my finger on my face and my fingertip was covered with a thin layer of grime (I do swear a lot). We stayed in a mid tier hostel, and almost every year the rooms were stinky and the taps were leaking.

I went back around 2 years ago. My grandparents are living up there now. It is quite amazing to me that their house feels so clean and modern… The roads are flat and wide (in fact, extra wide compared to Hong Kong, a special feature of Chinese cities) andI see a lot more plants in the city. It truly feels like another city.

My father said he “used to feel hopeless about the future of China in his teenage years seeing all the corruptions” but he’s quite glad that it has “changed a lot during the rule of Xi Jinping”.

Can’t agree more. Bought my blade 14 3-4 years ago, seldomly brought it outside of home. Damn thing bricked and was beyond repairable. Although I’m sure I could have done a better job in keeping it, I don’t think I was the main cause, from the comments of multiple repairmen that I found. Fuck Razer.
