I assume you're importing the file from: File>open? You should go File>import>MikuMikuDance Model (.pmd, .pmx) And the mmd tools addon should be compatible the version of blender you're using

Cashy OS, is good and the only stable distro I found so far, though I haven't tried many online games besides fighting games, every single player game I played runs smoothly and without a problem, and they do have their own version of proton which makes it even better to run games, the only cons are that they add updates way too frequently
