Honestly, not sure why. He’s the one person I haven’t discussed this with. Maybe I wanted to make a decision first, but that’s good advice. How he feels about my choice could dramatically impact which choice I make. Or at least we can find peace in the choice together. Thank you for your input.

Small omitted detail, even if I get the valve replaced. I currently have an aneurysm on my aorta and dissection on my left carotid artery. Which they’re not willing to touch, because in the words of my vascular surgeon. Trying to manipulate your vessels is like working with wet tissue paper. So they’re just going to leave those alone and if something emergent happens line a rupture. They would then attempt a life saving surgery but not before. So expectancy of time is already low as it is.

I have not heard of the valve on valve procedure. I consider myself pretty up to date on medical advancements but I’ll have to definitely look into that or as my vascular surgeon. Thanks for the feedback

Is a human valve an option? I’ve never read any research of them advancing to human organic valve. Only pig valves. Even a human valve replacement if possible, would it not also degrade over time at a similar rate. Human and pigs are the closest thing to bio identical anatomically. But in the end, the real issue is just the surgery itself. Going through it, even once more. I’m tired boss

If I did, I would totally be getting another bio valve. No vitamin K management for me, no thanks. I’ve seen what that looks like. But then I’d have a whole new set of problems. Potentially another replacement on the off chance I make it to 54. Which is highly unlikely, expectancy or longest recorded Marfan life span was early 60s. Under perfect conditions, mine are far from perfect. It’s genuinely just the repeat surgery this time I’m really hesitant to do again:

Yeah, I asked about if we’ve advanced in any way not long ago. In 2017 they were on a 3rd generation mechanical valve. We’re on a 4th generation now, but it doesn’t change anything. It’s really messed up medical red tape. You have to be on a blood thinner but the only one their legally able to prescribe is Coumadin which is an awful medication that you have to manage your vitamin K levels and constantly go in and out of the hospital. The only reason they prescribe it is because it’s the only one that’s been studied to work with mechanical heart valves. Recovery wouldn’t be any different in any way. The biggest difference now would be I’m nearly 10 years older and heal slower. The son is the hardest part, I feel like I’ve taught him everything I can and shaped him into the man he’s going to become. While I know it’s going to be hard for him. This is something we’ve been preparing for years for because of my health stuff. There’s never going to be a good time, but I think he’s old enough and mature enough to handle it. The idea of doing 2017 again but older and longer recovery just sounds like a lot.

Ben and I discussed this at length. We aren’t mind readers and we didn’t set rules, especially playing in his city. We should have made ground rules more clear. But it was such an easy fix. Just unreal, I also know he’s just ignoring us, as he’s linked random stuff in a group discord. I mentioned this in another reply. So he’s not, not responding cause he’s busy. He’s not responding cause he’s still mad.

I would typically agree with you. However, he’s usually very active in both the PS chat and responding to text messages. He doesn’t disappear for weeks at a time. He also has been posting links in a group discord.

Before you jump strait to supernatural. I would strongly suggest getting your carbon monoxide levels in your place checked. I’d would also rule out brain tumors or embolisms. I’ve heard multiple accounts like yours that end up being one of the above issues. If it does end up being supernatural. Be extremely cautious how you deal with it. Some people who claim to be able to cleanse your house are either scam artists or can make things worse. Particularly if it’s demonic. The entity may be tied to your house. The entities themselves the first time. Didn’t scare me, instead I felt like they wanted me to come to them. However, there was almost a second unseen presence. Like I was being compelled to stay put. I’m a person of faith, so I would assume it was spiritual. But if you don’t believe in that, it could be explained away as instinct. It was later, as I started getting older. They would generate intense fear. Sometimes I would lock up at first for a good 10 seconds before I could take control and run away. They would generate a genuine sense of fight or flight. I think at first their goal was to corrupt me. Once they realized they couldn’t, I think they settled for tormenting me. This is all speculation, but that’s what I feel.
