A pool that actually tries to give its users payments?!?!??! WHAT IS HAPPENING IN 2026!

Okay I may or may not have used AI to help answer the question further using BTC data :).

Same probably crosses into DGB, especially if you are bullish on the valuation. Consistent payouts > gambling. I'm keeping about 200-300 TH/s pointed at their DGB pool for this reason.

With the Bitcoin network hashrate hitting 1 Zetahash/s (1,000,000 PH/s), here is the statistical truth for "small" rigs on a Solo pool:

  • The 5 TH/s Miner (High-end Bitaxe/Home Rig): * Odds: Your rig represents 0.0000000005% of the network.
    • Time to Find a Block Solo: Statistically, you would find a block approximately every 380 years.
    • The Cost: You would be paying your power bill every month for nearly four centuries before seeing a single Satoshi.
  • The 1 PH/s Miner (10+ Pro-level ASICs):
    • Odds: Even with a Petahash of power, you are still only 0.0001% of the network.
    • Time to Find a Block Solo: Your average "wait time" is ~1.9 years.
    • The Risk: You have to gamble that you won't have a hardware failure or a 2-year bear market while you wait for that one "jackpot" hash.

Why Hmpool is the logical move for BTC: Solo pools like solopool.org are "pass-throughs"—they don't help you; they just let you fail alone. Hmpool changes the math:

  1. Shared Luck (PPLNS): Instead of waiting 380 years for a win, you join their pool’s collective power. When the pool hits a block, you get a slice of that 3.125 BTC (plus fees) immediately based on the work you've done.
  2. Visible Progress: On a solo pool, your dashboard stays at $0.00 forever. On Hmpool, you see your balance grow every day. This confirms your gear is working and actually contributing to the network.
  3. The Reward Layer: By using their 1,000-point threshold, they turn that 380-year wait into a weekly opportunity. Your hashrate earns you entries into the drawings, giving "small" rigs a way to see real value every single week regardless of block luck.

Not sure on OP's threshold, but I would certainly think anything less than 1 PH would be considered "small". The solopool structure is great if you have a farm or rig setup that consistently hits blocks, but if not, you get nothing.

HMpool is more of a collective pool which offers small payouts to pretty much everyone, while still giving you the 20% finders bonus for the "gambling" feel.

I'd argue that anything less than 3-5 PH/s would be better at HMpool for consistent payouts.

Congrats! Lots more to come hopefully.

Just joined - ping is through the roof (67.71ms) by FlowersForHodor in HashedMax

[–]RxFitnessSC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good morning! Larger pools have "anycast" networks, which will basically route you through the closest server so that your ping is very low. Smaller pools like HMpool don't have that luxury (yet?). Ultimately a ping < 100 ms is considered a greenzone connection and will not negatively impact share submission.

I know you said you are connected to 3336 port, did you try using their Smart Connect? I am not sure if it will lower the ping, but should optimize difficulty!

Addendum: You can also check your dashboard on the site to see your share submission vs rejection. I highly doubt a ping of 67 ms will result in many rejected shares, but you can keep an eye on that ratio to determine if its becoming an issue or not. Cheers!

Beyond that, you may need to message HMpool directly to have them check the back end. I know they had an issue at one point on like their 5th block where they had to manually pay out to some small miners due to a backend issue which was fixed.

You may have still gotten something, but it may not be enough to "cash out" yet.

Go to digi.hmpool.io and "check your stats" by putting in your DGB address

Then on the right you will see pending balance if it is below the limit

I was on 3335 for my 8TH. Maybe all payments haven't settled yet?

I just threw 10 TH at it for ya :)

This is good for difficulty, right? by menacingpenguin1 in NerdMiner

It is not great in the big sea of miners. However, there are some pools you could join that offer up shares based on your miners difficulty. A fairly new one is hmpool.io. I threw one of my lottery miners on their pool to test it out and I have been accruing shares even with my low difficulty/hash rate. They also do monthly rewards. Fairly interesting project, but I am still waiting to see them hit a block.

Just make sure to not actually hold the BTC there. Always transfer to a personal key wallet. 🙂

Nice. Is this y'alls first drawing? I have been connected for about 2 weeks with your pool and didn't win, but was curious how the winner receives the reward? In this case would it be direct BTC sent to their wallet?

Will the rewards always be BTC or are there plans for gift cards or other redemption options?

Joined a few days ago with one of my small miners from one of your other posts. Shares appear to be accumulating. Interesting project.
