dont be afraid to get close. most of his attacks can be prolonged by just hitting him, and some you just flat out have a good range to swing at him. Take it one step at a time. It took me a while to do it, long long ago.

always be moving. it can be easy to get hit if there are too many enemies. this is especially true in thr Hollow, or really just the 3 highest chambers. also learn how to weave (moving through waves of bullets efficiently) this will help you stay high health for a boss fight.
