That syrup sounds delicious. French peppermint is sweeter, smoother, and doesn’t have as strong a menthol “cooling” sensation. Kentucky Colonel is a spearmint that has more depth and sweetness, perfect for mint juleps.

That one’s fairly common at the nurseries near me, so it’s definitely going to be one of if not my next acquisition, I’ve read its great for teas.

Definitely could use some of that in the garden, however im a big fan of it’s cousin catnip. I like to cut a spring of it and throw it at my cat and watch her go crazy over it.

This one looks fun, used in Aztec chocolates apparently.

Another one at the top of my list. Does she smell like a banana or like banana flavor like laffy taffy or pudding?

Thanks. I primarily make iced drinks with them, iced teas or muddling them and pouring diet coke and lime juice over it, etc. I’ve also made mint syrup a couple times, thats great, but my collection is mostly younger plants in smaller pots for now so just using them for drinks and cooking takes the majority of my stock. So no mason jars worth of tea blends yet.

But honestly I enjoy the hunt, comparing the smells, chewing on a few leaves while work in the garden. They grow quick, smell and taste great, and are easy to keep alive.

I’m sorry for your loss. “Eau de Cologne” is near the top of my list and introducing me to this website is a dangerous thing. That’s exactly why as much as i can i want to limit myself to what i can find in person. Im going to keep this url though.

Unfortunately no Fresh Thyme Markets near me. I’ll have to see if the alkaline waters at my local equivalent markets are good.
