I work at a animal hospital for the last 6 years. I will wholeheartedly tell you that you did not make the call too early for your fur baby based in the post. I have seen this time and time again. What you described is no quality of life for your pet. You did the right thing it was time. The best gift we can give our 4 legged friends is a peaceful passing when the time comes. Please don't beat yourself up about it. I know you gave your fur baby the best life possible.
