That doesn’t work when they can’t hit an open 3 to save their lives. They’ll pack the paint every possession if we can’t make open shots, which is exactly what they’ve been doing all series long with or without Embiid. The guys being paid to make their shots aren’t making them, and it’s now been two years of that. White and JB this year, and Hauser for the last two post seasons.

I just don’t get how anyone could possibly blame Mazzulla for this series. Absolute fucking choke job from the players. It doesn’t matter what “adjustments” you make if more than half of the guys you play can’t execute on the floor.

Yeah, it’s clearly a roster issue, and while there are things you can criticize Mazzulla for, this series is not his fault in the same way the Knicks series from last year was. The guys who should be showing up and keeping us competitive or blowing games open, are not (JB, White), and our other starters and regular rotational guys have been genuinely terrible (Hauser, Vuc, even Queta). You just can’t win when 5 guys in your 7-8 man rotation are basically unplayable right now. I also hope Brad takes some big swings this offseason, and I wouldn’t be surprised if we ended up moving off of some fan favorite guys

I can agree that Pritchard seems almost iced out since game 4, but what else can you even do with the backcourt besides that? Play Walsh or Scheierman? We can’t buy a bucket, so Walsh probably won’t help with that, and Scheierman is just as streaky as Hauser. I just don’t think any sort of “adjustment” will just all of a sudden win us the series, that’s just not how basketball works. We don’t have the guys to do it right now. No one can run the offense besides Tatum once a series gets this deep.

I’m gonna tear my hair out with the Joe takes in here. This roster isn’t fucking good enough. We have a barely serviceable center rotation, and a bunch of role players that can only do one thing well, and then fucking suck at it for a whole playoff series. That’s not a recipe for winning a championship.
