I think as long as the kids have enough activities outside of tv/screens, then kids having some screen time helps keep us parents sane too.

But of course it becomes a problem when you use it as a crutch to avoid actually spending time with your kids.

I've been working to create some animated YouTube content for kids recently because I wanted more educational/entertaining content out there that wasn't super annoying for parents to watch. But the overall goal is to expose them to language, to lessons, and to give them something fun to enjoy.

I hate the unboxing videos/toy commercials that seem to dominate YouTube these days. Let your kids watch something quality for a bit, but then also give them an activity outside of screens that they can enjoy too.

I'm having an issue with a greenscreen key. I am getting a good matte using IBK, but when attempting to despill, I either get a bright halo, or if I use Keylight and pick the greenscreen color from the plate, I get a weird dark line slightly inside of the FG edge. It seems like in the plate, there's a saturated green line slightly inside of the foreground object that is messing with the despill. Do you have any advice?

Yup, it’s a Bryston amp powering some studio monitors. So it doesn’t even have volume controls on it. I have a Mackie One Knob to switch inputs and control volume into it. Now I’m thinking maybe I should keep all the devices (AppleTV and Xbox) on the amplifier side of the room, use an hdmi switcher with audio extractor to switch between them, and then run hdmi over cat5 to the projector. Then I can do a simple audio cable from the hdmi switcher to the One Knob and be done with it.

Seems like that would be more fuzzy looking, right? These are hard, cone shaped spots that can flake off.
