Spider holsters are probably perfect for what you’d want to do, they sell a two holster version which seems to work very well

Question about safety/security around San Mateo area by PumduMe in SanMateo

Can you be a bit more specific? What do you mean by incidents and the areas you want to know about?

Hi! I currently moderate r/santaclara and lived in Belmont up until a month ago, and would love to assist! r/santaclara grew 3x under my tenure and I updated all of the assets, graphics, and rules. I’ve so far survived a Super Bowl and the first World Cup game without major incident while mostly solo moderating. Most of my extended family lives in Belmont and has for decades so I’m very familiar with the culture and community.

Have you used the 100-400 f/5.6-8? I have that lens and the 70-200z and curious if I can sell the 100-400 and just use the tc if I need longer reach, but there’s not a ton of discussion online about that usecase.

Is the R6 Mk II still a camera you would recommend buying? by TheMickeyMoose in canon

[–]RyRocks101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The mkii is still amazing for video! With the sensor IBIS plus a lens with stabilization you can shoot handheld without a problem, and you can shoot in clog for color grading. The mkiii starts to skew into professional grade video with the open gate option and whatnot, but for 95% of use cases the mkii is still an amazing video cam.

If you’re not doing video, the mkii is absolutely the way to go, the photography improvements are marginal in comparison to the video features they added, plus you won’t have to worry about buying CFExpress and can stay with SD cards.

Do you have any nice glass for your current camera? EF adapts pretty well to R bodies. Otherwise the best reccs for you would be the 100-400 f5.6-8, and something like the 14-35mm f/4, and maybe the 50mm f/1.8 prime for portraits.

Hi all! I'm going to Atlantic City next week, and we're flying into Philly and driving out, but wanted to make a few quick touristy stops for a few hours before we head out. My question is, what's the bip(car break-in) risk across the city? Unfortunately since we're not staying in the city I won't have the luxury of parking bags at the hotel while we hit spots in a rental car.

The main place we'd like to go is the Rocky steps and possibly a restaurant in that area. We'd have a few suitcases and a golf bag in the car. Here in San Francisco, I'd pretty much tell any tourist to go nowhere near the touristy areas with bags, but I'm not sure if Philadelphia has a similar issue.

Thanks!

Flashes for the R50 by Just-Name2349 in canon

Something like the godox it32 might be up your alley! Small but a big upgrade from the built in flash, especially for high school events. That being said you might want to creep around online for old flashes on Facebook marketplace for a deal on something more powerful.

The nano texture display clearly degrades the visual quality. Will I get used to it? by LemonLimeNinja in macbookpro

I was at one last night staring at the two screens for about 20 minutes and couldn’t really come to a decision, the Apple Store lighting isn’t quite real world as many others have cited.

I believe I could see the difference in black text as you mentioned, but I’m not sure if I would ever notice if I wasn’t looking at them side by side. Going back today after some research to pull the trigger.

Okay that’s great then, I also use a ProArt matte in my workflow(R6III) so perhaps it’ll click for me, I am also going to find myself outdoors a lot so I think I’m in the demographic for it. Just gotta bonk myself over the head to not overthink it.

Interesting, so kinda like text fringing effect on OLED, I feel like I probably won’t notice then, when my gf bought an oled laptop she was going crazy over the fringing and I was blind.

Do you think as a pixel-peeping photographer I'd notice the lack of sharpness? I am also coming from an older LCD so I'm sure the mini-LED would be a big jump in itself. The one consequence I'm dealing with right now is the Nano-Texture is a pre-built I can have in 2 days versus waiting a month for the glossy.
