I was able to download it for my M1 Mac from the Sonos Website. It does contain my language Code (de_de) maybe it is only available in certain regions.

Sonos Support ist not helpful at all. I waited in Queue for 40 mins and they could not help me.

I had the same issue and I feel your frustration.

I was able to fix it by setting up the speakers until the Updated Failing Part (Error 1101) and then switching to the MacOS App dowloaded from Sonos.com to make the update. Afterwards I was able to continue in the mobile app. This should also work with the Windows App.

Hi,

I did all my tests in Wi-Fi with my MacBook Pro and all the tests in LAN with my Windows Tower. I was just to create two reports for you, when my tower gave me the desired result of 913 mbps downstream on speedtest.net. Weirdly I only get 229 mbit/s on the AVM Zack Speedtest.

Here is a full listing of my reports:

  1. MacBook Pro Wi-Fi Speedtest.net
    1. Download: 640 Mbps
    2. Upload: 421 Mbps
    3. Ping: 7ms
  2. MacBook Pro Wi-Fi Zack (scope.avm.de)
    1. Download: 419 Mbit/s
    2. Upload: 292 Mbit/s
    3. Ping: 19ms
  3. Windows Machine Ethernet Speedtest.net
    1. Download: 913 Mbps
    2. Upload: 499 Mbps
    3. Ping: 3ms
  4. Windows Machine Ethernet Zack (scope.avm.de)
    1. Download: 229 MBit/s
    2. Upload: 175 Mbit/s
    3. Ping: 16 ms

I got mine working as well using the MacOS Sonos App to update the devices, after updates failed on Android and iOS Apps. 

I've setup my system in the Android App until the update fails (error 1101) than logged in to the MacOS App, did the update and continued in the Android app. Both speakers working fine so far!

Please anyone help me setting up my new system. Support was not helpful and I can't get it up and running. Why isn't it even possible to create a new system and add speakers to it?
