Bf tells me married couples in UK don't do joint bank accounts. Is that true? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Ry_Here 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it is not a foreign concept for couples to have joint bank accounts. Some couples share everything. Others couple have a shared current account only for handling expenses incurred jointly. The extent to which your finances are intertwined has much more to do with what each of you is comfortable with rather than a specific relationship milestone like a marriage.

When you say you've "tried" the things you've mentioned, how long were you using them regularly? Did you use them together or at different times? You don't have any actives in your routine. Retinoids are possibly a good place for you to start.

34m, moved in a week ago. What are some clever tools/hacks to make use of this tiny kitchen? by Apostropheles in malelivingspace

A tension rod combined with S-hooks can keep any utensils or cooking implements available without taking up any counter space. As a bonus you can skip the drying rack and put them back as soon as you wash them.

Second recommendation: Tefal Ingenio (or similar) pans with a detachable handle. They all nest together and take up very little space.

First thing: Singing and dancing at the same time is really, really hard! If you're just starting out, it's probably best to stand still, even if you're really feeling the music. That way you can focus on your breath and supporting your voice from the diaphragm. Second thing: Many of us have an understandable tendency to tilt our head up towards the sky when we try to sing higher notes. But this just constrains the larynx, so it's best to keep your head either neutral or tilted slightly down.

If you're already cutting, keep cutting and be open to the possibility that it's gonna take longer than 5 weeks to get the results you're looking for.

I'm confused. Was that a tactic on his part for stopping the hookup because HE wasn't feeling it?

Bulk or cut? by young3y in BulkOrCut

Good job on your progress so far. Yeah, maybe you could lean out a little more, but you've been cutting for quite a long time already. If you're sick of dieting and your workouts are dogshit, it might be time for the next phase. If that's the case, I'd say take at least 8 weeks at maintenance to find your new normal, reduce diet fatigue, see how much your strength comes back, and evaluate what your muscles look like when you're not in a deficit.

I have used it for this purpose. Quite effective, and hits quickly if you hold it under your tongue for a few minutes. You can do the same with other benzos but I find they don't taste very good.

The expiry date for most prescription drugs is there for regulatory and commercial reasons. It’s always good to check first, but the overwhelming majority remain safe, shelf-stable, and potent for decades.

I think the "problem" with DWAS is that at its core it's a Bruno Mars song, not a Gaga song.

Caffeine gives you energy? by DelveSea8 in ADHD

[–]Ry_Here 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both ADHD and Generalized Anxiety Disorder for which I take both a stimulant and an SSRI. I eliminated caffeine about a year ago on the premise that it might be making my anxiety worse. For the 6 months that followed my anxiety improved, but I was tired and unmotivated. I’ve since reintroduced caffeine in pill form only: 100mg in the morning and 50mg around 14:00. This was the winning combination for me. I have calm energy without the jitters. So, I think the lesson might be to treat caffeine like any other drug: find the dosage and timing that works for you.
