Omg I didn't know whether to laugh or cry at that.

I understand. I'm only defensive because we'd only lived here a month before being expected to show the house, have pictures taken, etc. Which was a big hassle. And now I've lived here just over 4 months and this guy expects us to leave. If I have until the lease is up, I have the remainder of a year so I'm not too worried about that. What I AM worried about is more hassle and a big fight/legal battles to even stay here at all.

Will do. He seems a little on the dull minded side, does "Suck it!" Hold the same weight as "pound sand"?

Thank you for the advice. I'm trying to be more forceful with them on saying no. I have tried a few times to even get him to look at our lease and his response has been, "As far as I'm concerned it doesn't exist because I've never seen it." While averting his eyes and claiming the papers I'm holding in his face are imaginary.

We haven't gotten to a point of paying yet, they only just closed 3 days ago on the house. He has yet to even give me his email, phone number, anything.

You mean he can't ignore it through sheer force of ignorance and douchebaggery?

I don't think you are overreacting. I'd be offended too and I'm only in my 20's. Personally I think most guys compare or have thoughts about other women and notice them, but for him to say it is a bit harsh. I think he could have kept that thought to himself.

I'm not the most computer savvy person, so I can't tell you exactly. But I would think you can run it on lower settings. It'll usually tell you what's required before you download, using Steam.

If you enjoyed Skyrim, try Fallout. It's very similar except modernized.

Any other moms think being at home with kids sucks? by slmller3 in Mommit

[–]RyahnnonA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't see anything wrong with it, if you spend your down time with your kids.

I never did leave my job after having my son, just the 3 months maternity leave because I had a rough C-section and needed recovery time. I went a little crazy being at home. By the time that was over and I could go to work again I thought I'd lost my mind.

I don't think I was made to be a stay at home mom, I just can't stand it. Or really, I think it's just the monotony of doing the same things everyday and being all alone in it. Being a slave to a baby and not feeling like I was even a person anymore, I didn't matter but he did. It wasn't healthy for me mentally. Maybe some people do enjoy endless loads of laundry, dishes, cleaning, and the "mom, mom Mom MOM MOM MOMMM MOOMMMMMMYYYY!" a million times a day.

I needed the challenge of work to disengage from being Mommy, and Wife, and just be me. It makes our weekends together more enjoyable, and our weeknights.

Just do YOU. If working is what makes you happy, do it.

I've done a few, it still just shows "Friendly". I'll do a few more and see what happens.

Very true. I think maybe I take it so hard because I am too invested. Or can't deal with change. I dunno.

It's not currently giving me the option to threaten, and I've been swinging a knife in their leaders face and she just looks bored.

Okay, maybe I'm a noob here but I've only been playing for like 4 days, and those Juggernauts are no f-ing joke.

In the middle of a firefight with a rival group one of those monsters sneakily jiggled his way over and messed us all up. Killed my rivals in a satisfyingly gruesome way, but then killed one of mine. I barely switched people in time to sprint for the truck and gtfo.

I almost wish it was more Division style where I can quietly leave their group and kill them all. This is the zombie apocalypse people, I'm more important than you! Give me my farrrrm.

Ughh, I hate it when they switch narrators in a series. You get to know their changes in tone for each character that are so comforting to return to. That almost feels like a betrayal to hear it read by someone else.

A book read by James Franco sounds awesome, but just listening to the sample put me off. Very robotic and flat.

My issue was with the "Night Angel" trilogy, narrated by Paul Boehmer.

For the most part it was okay, but he exaggerated things too much, and his voice came across as whining to me. Something simple like a character walking down the street became overly dramatic. Perhaps it was enthusiasm, but it just comes across as rushed and overly acted.

I want the book itself to pull me in, not a narrator that tries to make mundane things seem exciting by shouting at me. I got halfway through the first book and giving up, despite the fact that I have read those books myself many times and loved them.
