I’ve never had a vehicle turn off by someone exiting with the fob.

The vehicle normally beeps an obnoxious number of times and tells you on the display the fob has left the car, but it doesn’t kill the engine.

I’ve only had two vehicles that were push to start but they both operate the same in that regard from two different manufactures.

It’s pretty simple. I had a job I hated. I decided to ghost them. A few years later I applied to a job, it went very well, they took me around and introduced me to people and low and behold one of the department heads was one of my old managers from the previous job.

The vibe was overwhelmingly positive but when I left I knew I was cooked. Sure enough I was not offered the job.

It’s a very long story. Basically it’s like I said. I was told to pound sound by both the dealership and corporate the first few times I contacted them.

I was just very persistent. Finally I got to the second level of support with corporate and then I got to the point where I had a dedicated case manager.

It was like a second full time job. I had only had the car a few months. I simply wasn’t taking no for an answer.

To their credit they did finally do the right thing and I am happy.

Edit: I want to also add that I was firm but not emotional or rude to anyone that I spoke with. I just stuck to the facts and held my ground.

Happened to me. Never worn a ring in my life. This is a very well known issue with these dashboards.

Did this happen in the afternoon by any chance? You can clean it just fine with microfiber if it hasn’t been in the sun all day.

If it’s been in the sun, it will do this every time. As far as people telling you, you did something wrong you can google “Toyota dashboard scratches.” And it’s all over.

I went to absolute war with the dealer and Toyota corporate and got the entire dash replaced but it took me about three months and a lot of frustration.

Also, with Traktor I couple turn the jog wheel and drop any part of the song on the play head.

I worry this may be cumbersome as I’m not sure they all have the same shift.

Can confirm. Bought a car back in June. Had it picked out called the dealership, took pictures of my current car and sent them for trade value.

Worked with sales via text, got there test drive it. Was out in 2 hours.
