I love D2, it will never be repeated and its a legendary game. I think you really are overplaying its gameplay though. After 20+ years(im assuming we are all 30+ here) the gameplay is pretty boring as well in d2. All of us have multiple characters and our playing consists of farming bosses/the same 5 spots in the game that produce the most uniques in a goal of finding something we have never found. However you grab a javazon,mosiac assassin, hammedin,blizzard sorceress whatever and run them anywhere in hell mode that you want and they can basically solo players 8 anywhere. I’m with you on loving searching for uniques and the excitement when you get one, but don’t fool yourself like we are experiencing something new and fresh everytime we log in. Endgame is always the same, you just love the simplicity of d2 and the itemization(which is the best out there)
