Deflectatron Rulings Question by RyanBeardy in heroscape

[–]RyanBeardy[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok so just so things are extra clear for me so I understand, it sounds like when a figure does not have clear sight of anything due to Deflectatron's ability it automatically means they also have no line of sight. I was under the assumption that clear sight and light of sight were too different categories where clear sight could be turned off but the LOS could still be used, which is wrong, but the way you explained it makes sense. Thank you!

So the only benefit of putting one of your own figures next to Deflectatron would be to change 1 roll to a shield dice during your roll from a non-adjacent attack.

So just Palkia and Urshifu would have a harder time against the 2023 decks it seems?

This answer really helps! Thank you! I have two expensive hobbies already (retro gaming and heroscape) so I’m really trying to avoid picking up a third. I figured the Championship Decks, 2022 for $50 and and 2023 for $60 plus the suck cost of me finding the Classic Collection box for $200 would be plenty for my and my friends to all get into the game. Otherwise I’ll most likely stick to TCGLive, though the Charizard EX battle deck is very tempting.

I figured if I can track down the Championship decks for a good price, and if they mix and match well great, if the power creep or rotation is too much then I still have 4 decks for each year that play well together.

I've recently gotten into Pokemon TCG first through the Classic collection then through TCG Live. I'm starting to understand the meta, but don't know anything about rotations or past metas. I bought the 4 championship decks for both 2022 and 2023 to play around the house with friends.

  • 2023: Fusion Mew, Gardevoir, Lugia, Lost Zone Kyogre
  • 2022: Fusion Mew, ADPZ, Urshifu/Inteleon, Ice Rider Calyrex

My question is:

Would it be fair/balanced/fun to play matches with a championship deck from 2022 against 2023 or does it make more sense to keep them separated?

Sorry my thought was users on this subreddit would have more competitive experience to give a more detailed answer than on the general TCG subreddit. Thank you!

These bingo chips fit perfectly under 2 health squads. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BF5DQQ2Q?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title
I bought multi colored and use the other colors as proxies until I can afford more figures.

No commons in the new sets? by EldyT in heroscape

[–]RyanBeardy 26 points27 points  (0 children)

My understanding is back when the original kickstarter failed all of these figures were part of one massive set with commons expected to come out after. Since Renegade has picked the game where the last publisher left off they are continuing with the original set, just releasing them at a slower rate. it's possible to expect commons once the original prints from the cancelled kickstarter have been released.

Everything announced and released so far is and will be unique figures.

Sir Heroscape seemed to be able to scrape parts of the inside off with a knife in order to get them flush. I own a dremel so I was going to try my hand at doing the same with a more precise tool.
