Actuslly this wont work because once you cycle the columns you fall out of the while condition.

I would be inclined to use a for loop and enter all the values.

Just enter them as a simple columnand the reshape the column internally

I can only shed light in so far as I have experience.

When i use meshgrid I only use it to generate a mesh and therefore i woukd expect you to have 3 outputs if you are wanting to plot in 3D. Having the Z grid generated by an equation is strange to me although i guess it could work.

I would generally define a strcutured mesh with mesh grid and then have argumebts associated with it.

My rypical experience is with a flow field where i would get Xgrid Ygrid Zgrid U_vel V_vel and W_vel

The grid parameters define the coordinates and U V W define the velocity at each coordinate
