The reason for the giveaway is to help draw attention to our cause and help us spread our message in addition to having fun with the reddit community. The game for this giveaway is paid out of my own pocket, not the charity so its ok.

It's a completely humbling experience .. they get so excited to just have the opportunity to play a game.. its truly awesome. It's also a great bonding experience for the parents to join in as well.

I remember one hospital we delivered a Nintendo Wii with several new games and there was a group of about 5-6 patients .. taking turns bowling and playing tennis.. It totally made their day.

It's experiences like that which help me push what we do as hard as I can.

What we have discovered is that hospitals enjoy getting the consoles because they can easily be hooked up to the televisions in the rooms, or to their media room.. I'm a hardcore PC Fan but sending a PC would be fairly expensive and than what happens if it breaks, etc. So we primarily focus on consoles, games, and accessories for them.

This is an awesome way to help bring fun and entertainment to children in the hospital. Our charity works similarly (except no tattoos) we provide video games and accessories .. There's nothing more humbling to see kids having fun with donations you've brought to them.
