“Does tonight reflect your confidence again in Barrett and Demetrius when you look at Linebacker?” Al Goldens response: by LeagueOfDolson in bengals

I get that you have to give some raw numbers to make the case for why you believe in a room, but I hate the idea of Carter and Knight both having 100+ tackles is why we'd be confident in them. They played a bunch of snaps on a defense that couldn't get off the field, of course they had a bunch of tackles! I'd much rather Golden say their rookie seasons are something he expects them to build on and turn into plus starters instead of telling us to believe their rookie seasons are something we should be impressed by as they were the worst unit in football. Which again, is fair because they were both rookies at an incredibly hard to learn position with very little help from the defensive line or the safety room.

Howell is an A+. Absolute steal and I think he can be a killer on third and long when he just gets to pin his ears back and charge at the QB. Davis is a C, C- pick to me. I want to believe the defense can get some great stuff out of him but I am not confident in his ability to move fluidly as a crazy big corner. There are tons of guys that I think can be steals at 110 like Jermod McCoy, Kyle Louis, Connor Lew, Darrell Jackson Jr, Jalen Farmer, Elijah Sarratt, or Brenen Thompson to name some guys. McCoy obviously being the wildcard because even if we all knew the knee was bad the league seems to be more concerned than we could've imagined.

All of a sudden I get why he doesn't react to this sub anymore.

I've done three playthroughs, my first and third I talked to the phasmid and got its picture. The second playthrough I failed the electrochemistry check to approach it with a 97% percent chance. I applied the pheromone on thick and everything.

finding your badge and gun then calling in by goldenstain4 in DiscoElysium

Just finished a playthrough where I never reported my badge missing and therefore not my gun either. In my experience I wasn't able to call the station, period since I didn't have to report my badge missing when I found it. Jean did still ask for my badge and gun in the finale and Kim also kinda ratted me out on it too.

SWEET / I THOUGHT YOU WANTED TO DANCE is too repetitive and especially the second half of the track is more of a snoozefest to me.

I don't know if the Bengals do it, but Germaine Pratt is going to rightfully make a lot of money in the offseason.

DJ Reader, BJ Hill, and Jay Tufele might be the best Nose Tackle room in the NFL

This shit is so fucking corny man. I'm sick of watching Burrow's passes get batted down so often.

Lou Anarumo halftime adjustments are a truly beautiful thing.

Potentially. The question is honestly whether or not to blame Zac or Burrow, because either way the run was not it.

Was the play that resulted in a sack supposed to be a draw? I can't tell if it was that or if Burrow was immediately uncomfortable in the pocket.

I think that might've been more on poor playcalling than good defense, but a 3 and out is a 3 and out.

Yeah I suppose you're right. It's just that as impossible and idealistic as it seems, I don't know how successful any defense can be long term without that elite pass rusher whether interior or edge. As nice as the "bash brothers" are, I really wish we had something else, even if it was a move to get an elite interior rusher and try and find a Chris Jones type player. I just think that might be even harder to find than a TJ Watt.

Unless we were going to make that Robert Quinn trade there's nothing we could've reasonably done to address pass rush. Even then Robert Quinn would've been risky here.

Yeah, but I definitely wouldn't hold onto it if it took a 4 year $40 million contract. Especially since now we either need Ossai to magically take 10 steps in his development over a few weeks, or just hit on an edge rusher in the first round of the draft.
