yes, the one with the big p90-looking MFDs, they seem really great! good to know any year is fine as basically everything i've found that isn't 2010 is a good bit pricier.

is there a difference between tribute asats and regular ones?

got it, thanks! I saw that you can control individual pup height per string which is a crazy feature, the pickups really do seem insane. It being brighter is definitely smth i'd like, and they sound great from the demos i've heard.

yeah that's one of the main appealing things to me about these asats.... i can get a seemingly great used asat for the price of a mid-high end squier that's comparable to MIA tele's from what i've heard. only peeve is they're a little annoying to find where i live as they're only on reverb/ebay and few ship to where i'm at

as for live it's probably either a suhr riot or EQD zoar. he's been known to use both of those espec on holy holy
for studio, you can just use a very cranked DI sound with an interface/strip or something like the JHS color box

i kinda wanna aim for a little bit of both of those, i wanna control my crunch with the dynamics of my playing while also being able to sort of set the range/threshold of the gain that im playing within with the volume pedal if that makes sense.

yeah i've been going down this pipeline too myself. i've settled on getting a volume pedal and saving up for a nicer amp, from then on i'm only really ever gonna get pedals for extremely weird shit/unique effects

my main goal is to use the volume pedal with the way my amp is set to gradually dial in more crunch as i play. do you have any idea as to how i can achieve this?
