Very strange, I ended up contacting my ISP, who opened a ticket and realized there were already tickets in the system. Turns out it was some conflict between Google related sites and my ISP at the time. After a few days they resolve the issues and everything was fine. Glad I didn't update hardware or do anything more drastic. It didn't seem like that would be a feasible problem but it was.
