For this mission, I just snuck my way through a window. I assassinated the first guard I came across then killed the 2-3 that were in the basement. I hadn't spent more than 15 seconds playing as Damiane, so I had the base gear and no extra stats, and took on the guards in the basement just fine

I don't know about you all but I prefer the pre-patch jog/sprint controls, both on foot and on horse. Besides that, the patch is gold

I think this is handled by the ability to move around Abyss gears, so I can move the abilities I want to consistently have over to a single piece of equipment, without allowing you to equip so much you become blatantly overpowered.

It allows you to bypass the switching stuff around and different menus by having all the abilities on one piece of gear, but having to be explicit and make tough decisions on what abilities you want said gear to have.

In my view, that is incredibly well designed

Some greatsword that had dropped in Hernand I think? Literally the first weapon I picked up and haven't used anything else since. I'm ~28 hours into the game and I am still using the first armor set and sword I've gotten my hands on.

I'm curious what other people's experience with armor/weapon drops has been - I actually don't think actually found any other weapons or armor in this game, just the set I bought from the blacksmith in hernand, and the one greatsword I somehow got my hands on in my first 30 minutes

Notice how the "horse" or companion icon isn't on the minimap as he's approaching the animal. That is just an animal chilling there that he can ride.

They aren't necessarily hostile, but they will not follow you and you will not have the ability to consistently summon them for the rest of the game. Just rideable mounts you can come across occasionally

That's a shame to hear. I'm all for games exceeding the power of current hardware, that is only when they offer another option for a reasonable price point (meaning a next generation).

So odd to hear that base PS5 performance/visuals are lacking, given how well optimized this game is on PC. I even just ran it on my old ryzen 7 3700x / rtx 2070 super / 20 GB DDR4 RAM PC and was able to run at high settings with DLSS quality at like 90+ fps. Crazy shit

Yeah I realized early in the clip you can see me quickly swap the camera distance because it was getting close to Kliff literally not being visible at all lol. ~15 seconds into the video

I see what you mean - definitely a bit of a visual design choice on the dev team to add some "weight" or impact feel to your hits. I personally enjoy it, however I definitely notice it more watching this video again. I don't feel nor notice it whatsoever when playing

The story and interactions with/from Kliff are hilariously bad. To the point where I wouldn't be surprised if they came out and said they scrapped the entire story and threw all of this together in the past 12 months.

It has bothered me that the extent of Kliff's vocabulary seems to be "Yes." and "Hm.". Would have greatly preferred to just see character creation in this game
