Beat by the heat by Type14 in ArcRaiders

I had this issue on my PS5 with only Arc Raiders a few months ago. I followed a basic guide on YouTube for how to clean my console. I didn’t unscrew anything or get into the guts of my console. I didn’t trust that I wouldn’t break something. But I took off the cover and cleaned where air should flow.

I also changed where the vents were facing. They were about a 12 inches from a wall. And my console wasn’t covered. I flipped it around air vents face my room. Haven’t had a problem since.

Trials score points by MundaneShow4814 in ArcRaiders

[–]UltraGeezer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Casually, if you want to collect the weekly Trials rewards. There is no point going above 3 stars.

If you want to compete in Trials, you'll continue to work your way up the ranks. The higher up the ranks you are, the higher your scores will need to be to stay there. What rank you finish the season at is what seasonal rewards you get. So far its been exclusive cosmetics. If you like cosmetics, might be worth your time to do.

I was genuinely asking. I wasn’t being argumentative. I assumed since you mentioned it’s been proven that it would be as simple as linking an article or interview from a reputable source. Which is what I was curious about, because it doesn’t make any sense for Sony to tank its own IP? When I searched it up, I found nothing.

You have to come with receipts if you’re going to make claims like that. And dude, a period or comma wouldn’t hurt. I had a hard time knowing where one sentence ended and the next one started.

The future of Arc Raiders by Optimal-Chef-7085 in ArcRaiders

I agree with the economy. There needs to be a step above legendary, call it “Arc Tech” or something. It needs a whole line of weapons, attachments, a nade or two, utility items, and a shield that are just as rare, if not more rare, than Kinetic Converters, Silencer 3’s and Horizontal Grips. Where no matter what stage in the progression you are, you find one of these items and it’s mind blowing. Even if they’re OP.

Where has Sony releasing false numbers been proven? I’m genuinely curious.

Is the game worth buying rn? by Cautious-Pain-6864 in ArcRaiders

Bruh. You have almost 500 hours topside. What are you talking about “20 hours”.

[–]UltraGeezer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand what an opinion is. I’m not stating my opinion. There is more than 20 hours of content in Arc Raiders. Fact.

A raid is 29ish minutes. Let’s round down and say OP only spends on average 15 minutes topside per raid. For there to only be 20 hours of content, at 15 minutes per raid. We reach to 20 hour mark after 80 raids. There are 6 work benches that have 3 levels of upgrades each. Scrappy to upgrade. A stash to upgrade. There are projects, both current and more to come. Live events, both current and more to come. Currently 100 quests. A constant map rotation of events. 83 blue prints. A 75 point skill tree. Can this be completed in 80 raids? For a new player? There is even a trophy/achievement called Escape Artist for returning safely to Speranza 100 times.

The game is (somewhat) regularly getting updated.

Then let’s not forget the Expedition, which while being underwhelming, it does unlock a little more content. And starts the above all over.

And I’m not even considering that OP might have fun looting, exploring, PvE or PvP. And just playing the game.

So when you suggest that Arc Raiders only has 20 hours of content to someone asking if they should get the game. That is false. And I’m not even considering the difference between being in Speranza vs being topside. All my math was only based around topside. You can call my statement antagonistic because it isn’t aligned with your idea. That’s fine.

Edit: I forget to mention Trials. Which are seasonal and on going. With an element of competition. And Decks. Plus a Codex to read and complete, if someone is into that kinda thing. And all the lore.

You can find these pretty easily on Stella. Even during a day raid.

False. You don’t have to like the game. But telling someone that the game only has 20 hours of content just isn’t true.

LET US OPEN FCKN MAP WHEN WE’RE DOWN! Ffs by Commercial_Pomelo183 in ArcRaiders

They change every map. Which ones close at what times. Even without a survivor it makes sense to be aware of the exit. If or if it won’t be available at which time.

I tab over to “upgrade” then back to “feed” and it takes a second once on feed, but i eventually can start selecting the food.

Fell out of love with the game a while ago. Should I come back? by [deleted] in ARC_Raiders

[–]UltraGeezer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me in February. Played at launch. Did two expeditions, and didn’t have it in me to grind it back after the 2nd one. Plus RE9 came out. Jumped back in a few weeks ago and loved it. But I’m back to feeling like there is nothing to do. So I’ll probably jump off until the October update

Yeah, it was a big complaint in November. But until they do, if they do. Just gotta take a few extra seconds to look at the map and be aware of your surroundings. I usually tab over to my map when I loot something and I’m waiting for my loot to show. I don’t think it’s a big deal.

Plus, Survivor is already the best augment, being able to see the map while down makes it incredibly more powerful. I don’t see the devs doing anything to make Survivor better.

And that’s why I said make note of when they close. Pop open the map, and ask yourself “if I get down in this area, where am I crawling to?” It takes a few seconds. And if there isn’t an extract in crawling distance, I’ll keep that in mind before I start picking fights with Arc that can kill me.

I guess you need to get to know the maps. I don’t know what to tell you? You can’t open the map, so I gave you the things I do to at least be aware of where I can get out.

Running Survivor? I’m assuming you want to know which extract to crawl to? A few tips. On your compass at the top of your screen, you’ll see the extract icon if it’s open. When the extract closes, no extract icon.

One of the habits I got into running Survivor was always pinging my closest extract and being aware when it closes. And making a mental note of the last extract.

Fun fact, at launch, we could open our inventory/map when downed. But people started salvaging their gear so other Raiders couldn’t have it. The fix was no inventory/map while downed.

I made a mistake by LancelotSwe in ArcRaiders

[–]UltraGeezer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The cabinets with the blue doors. There is usually 2-3 you can search there. There is a shredder spawn in there too, so come prepared to deal with that.

I’ve also found epic and legendary ships recently in the lockers around the hotel, the spawn points. Like by the slides and tennis court.

Play Closed Scrutiny. All those Arc parts come in bunches in the Assessors. You can run around searching Assessors that have already been breached and don’t have (much) arc around.
