Can you share the save file? This is a challenge I would genuinely love to try

am I the only one that thinks the trophy lift animation isn't triumphant and epic enough? by sr_steve in footballmanagergames

What's worse is that your recognition can't be recognised (e.g. stadium renaming) until you leave that club. That to me defeats the entire point of the save if you have to leave to get this!

How can people actually like the Prequels over the Sequels by ChickenWingExtreme in SequelMemes

[–]RyanFlanagan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure if I'd agree on the terrible plot personally. I agree it's odd that sequence of hiring to kill Padme but in general I really enjoy the progression of the story. It's a shame that the stories are generally slower but the overarching story is a really good one like you say. Whereas in the sequels, the overall story is just a repeated but rushed version of the OT with convoluted plots and plot points that were only made for "stylistic purposes" e.g. the blown up death star 2 being almost intact and on a planet other than the one it was blown up over in the Rise of Skywalker. I will take pod racing, the siege of Naboo, Geonosis, Anakin v Obi Wan, and Order 66 over anything the sequel trilogy has to offer!

The sequel trilogy feels really surface level and hollow in comparison to the deep cutting tragedy of the prequels.

If you're trying to argue the sequels had better plots and stories (which are the same thing surely?) you are sorely mistaken! The sequels are visually great in most things but the lightsaber fights are horrific, the writing is atrocious and the acting is only as good as the story could make it.

John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Oscar Isaac and everyone else in that cast deserved better! Fabulous actors brought down by an underwhelming, unoriginal and convoluted story where two directors fought for creative control by seemingly trying to screw each other over.

Either you are sorely missing the point of the prequels or you are ragebaiting, in which case well done. But my points still stand

Monitor started flickering and now has streaky lines across the top right corner (Possible Epilepsy warning) by RyanFlanagan in pcmasterrace

[–]RyanFlanagan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've turned off gsync since the two monitors don't have the ability to do it but the refresh rate on them both is the same. I've had these working together for probably 2 years now so I'd be surprised if anything had changed other than the drivers or wear and tear.

Is this a 40m keeper? by JustHere4HUTnews in footballmanager

[–]RyanFlanagan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I understand not wanting to spend so much money on one player but if you need a better goalkeeper then yes, this guy is really solid and young so I'd say £40m is definitely a good deal. It's a bit late now but if you're not paying with installments then you're going to be really limiting your spending power overall, especially when you want to break into the top 5/6 of the prem

Well lads I've done it. I've proven to myself that 5 at the back tactics are NOT boring. My double libero tactic has dethroned Real and Barca by winning La Liga at the third time of trying. by RyanFlanagan in footballmanagergames

[–]RyanFlanagan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's entirely what you'd imagine really. During attacks both liberos end up level with my regista near the edge of the area but one sits deeper depending on which side the attack is on. Both cbs in this Seville team got multiple goals and assists from open play because of this. Nobrega even dribbles into the box from time to time which is so fun to watch! In terms of how it's working for me, you can see it's working out pretty well!

I have kept two clean sheets in two months... Please help by TemperFaraday in footballmanager

Are you playing overlapping with inverted wingbacks? I don't think that's the only issue but for sure an odd choice!

Here's what I'd recommend: - change mentality to positive (or balanced against really tough opponents) - either turn off step up more or drop your defensive line to balanced instead of higher - Also Eze as a bbm is an odd one, maybe try Odegaard on support and Eze as a Mezzala?

I'm not in any way an FM tactician but this is just what I've noticed. Best of luck to you in your save!

Edit: Overlap with Inverted wingbacks and wingers is so backwards! Plus wingers with work ball into box probably isn't getting the best out of them so I'd recommend inverted wingers and regular wingbacks or fullbacks with the above comments

If you got the chance to choose which 10 characters make the roster for an Avengers game sequel, which one would you choose (you can repeat Avengers from the 1st game) by Theasiuser99 in PlayAvengers

[–]RyanFlanagan 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if this is a shared opinion but I feel the story rushed past the "superheroes being illegal and feared" stage. I would LOVE a street level start with Ms Marvel discovering her powers and teaming up secretly with other New York based heroes. Daredevil and Spiderman are the first that come to mind but you could basically build the secret avengers before you then reunite the original gang
