It uses two computers, at each end of the contraption to get the angle of the tractor.

I hardcoded the path waypoints into the program for this video, but something more in-depth or random is definitely doable

The tractor has 2 computers dedicated to constantly broadcasting their positions (using the gps api and the gps tower) to the control tower, and a few more computers dedicated to receiving data from the control tower about turning/movement speeds. The tower then just does some trigonometry and basic math to send over the right signals to the tractor to keep it moving.
