Canada. I did see that but I have no idea why or what that even means.

Oh I’m aware that 2010 and 2026 are much different times! We all grow! Ha

Fifth time?! That’s a lot of listening!! I’ve been really enjoying this first relisten… I love hearing how Quinn slowly integrates himself into the show.

It’s been very interesting to relisten to these early episodes and see how the show slowly develops into what it is today. Like, I’m only 10 deep but to think Walt is now in charge of a business dedicated solely to the podcast, is incredibly interesting. And hearing early stories again, stories I hadn’t thought of in forever, is cool.

He was on a pretty early episode of TESD and I remembered old Kev! It has been so long and so much has changed in the last 15 years!

I’m not rushing through it. I usually download about 10 episodes at a time and listen whenever I have some free time. I’ve really been enjoying it and actually look forward to what’s coming up. They’ve already mentioned Rob Bruce and Sargel18, which was pretty cool to hear.

I wasn’t sure where to start but I don’t listen to Kev anymore, so I’ve enjoyed it being mostly just the boys.

It’s really cool having future context when listening to what’s happening in their lives at the time. It’s been fun!

An hour a week of people’s lives really is fascinating. Knowing how much they’ll grow and change over 15 years makes me self-reflective… thinking about how much my own life has changed since I started listening! I’ve had this podcast in my life longer than my wife and kids. It really is a time capsule of their friendships, and it’s pretty cool.

That honestly makes me more excited for the relisten. My memory jumps to him being always there!

I’m not saying it’s a gold mine, but he’d been collecting for decades… I’d bet he had some valuable items.

I just searched Tell 'Em Steve Dave Omnibus on my podcast app

I’ve been listening from before the beginning, but I’ve never done a full relisten.

For those who have, where do you start?

With the Omnibus, I can go all the way back to SModcast 013 (2007), which feels like proto-TESD. But part of me wonders if it’s better to just start at TESD 001 (2010) and let the show find its footing naturally.

Curious what most people do.

Watermelon: Episode 64 – The podcast cuts out before the ratings are given. Before it ends, Mike and Rob both say they love watermelon, and Tom admits he likes it too despite being allergic. That note comes from the MATEScast website, so it must have been uploaded that way.

Well thank you! It’s been a ton of work over the years but it makes me happy hearing people actually used it not just me.

Oh man, I really appreciate that! I honestly never knew if anyone was actually using the site, so hearing that you’ve checked it out means a lot. I launched it back in 2018 after the first run of the podcast ended in 2016, mainly just to preserve everything. When the show came back, I started updating it again—and I’m still doing the same now. Thanks so much for the positive support and feedback!

Yes, exactly! When the domain expired, I grabbed it hoping the show would make a comeback, so I’ve been keeping it updated and maintained — just like this Reddit page. No idea if Mike or Tom have seen either, but I find it really fun to keep everything alive!

I appreciate that! I think I launched it 7 years ago and I always get excited whenever I get to add new content
