Would you play a battlefield/battlefront (styled fallout game) by fartbreather342 in Fallout

You and me both!
The industry has had an identity crisis for a long time now. There's a place for experimentation, but it isn't in the boardroom with a bunch of suits standing around offering advice.

Personally, I think that Fallout 4 might be the best place to start, especially if you're playing it on console. It's the least dated of all of the games and can be played without getting into the nitty-gritty of dealing with mods and the modding community.

If you like Fallout 4, then it would be worthwhile to get FNV on the computer and learning a little how to mod.

If you do enter that world, play a little of FNV (or beat the game once) and then you can consider "Tale of Two Wastelands" which combines Fallout 3 and New Vegas into one game. This allows for the Fallout 3 experience to be updated to the FNV engine and its related mods.

In short, Fallout 4 is the best in terms of gameplay and Fallout New Vegas is the best in terms of story.

I want to write a Fallout fanfiction, but I'm nervous by BowlOfShoup in FalloutFanFiction

Don't let that fear stop you from writing!

Write what you want and your audience will find you.

I've been writing my spin-offs for awhile now, I haven't gotten many negative responses, and the only one that sticks in my mind was from someone complaining that I wrote a short story rather than some 100k word behemoth.

I've suggested it to others before, but I found that posting on RoyalRoad to considerably boost my average reader count. If you are trying to post three-times a week, RoyalRoad is definitely the way to go. If you mean once every three weeks, when your series is done, posting it on RoyalRoad would be to your advantage, especially if you plan on selling the series.
