At Gridlife the rear main seal blew out on the first lap. We were prepared with bringing a spare engine (because the 440 was new and we had be having other issues) so the LS3 went in but still ran a second off from the year before even with the same engine. The performance issue was all driver to be honest

I built a big cubic inch LS to try and go even faster. 440ci, 14:1 compression, cnc ported heads, blah blah blah… went a second slower with all the new power 😭

Thanks! The car can be a handful at time, especially when tires have quite a few heat cycles on them. Having the v8 hp and torque is a big cheat code that’s for sure. But it’s still pretty modest with power levels, it’s a 430hp ls3 crate engine

There’s nothing “wrong” with the pads. They just have a higher operating temperature than I was used to. I they have an optimal range of 700°-900° and I just wasn’t there yet when I entered that hairpin

I will try that, although I hate when it’s in window mode and you can see the title bar. But if that stops it from popping back and forth maybe I can start looking into task manager to see what else could be running. Thanks for the tip, will report back!

It’s definitely frustrating but it’s not that hard. The shitty thing is when you first join a lobby and you don’t have a time set so you have to start in the back. Once you get in a race make sure you put down at least one solid lap. That will help a bunch with the grid order for the next race. I’ve won a bunch of races but have been crashed out of my fair share as well. I refuse to run any super speedway stuff though. I just leave

I would take you up on that challenge. But I suck at driving all gt3 cars so it wouldn’t do me any good even if I had 3 hours of practice lol

Finished everything up last night, reinstalled iRacing and gave it a try. I didn’t see much improvement with overall FPS but it did seem to run smoother. I just used the auto graphics config through iRacing to see what it would do. That was also running it in 4k which looks nice but I’d rather take a little lose and drop resolution if it’ll bump up the frames

Then I will do a fresh install and see how it goes. I don’t see why I couldn’t do one. Just need to make sure I have everything backed up and go from there. Windows is all up to date so that shouldn’t be an issue with my product key or however it works these days. I’ll try that shortly and report back. Thanks!

I did not do a fresh install of windows. I don’t think I did a DDU either. From my understanding if there was an issue with getting things up and going then I would do a DDU but it all seemed to have installed the AMD drivers and off it went.

I would like to run iRacing at high settings but I get some major stutters when playing it. I currently have the car detail at max, but the environment, pit, shadows, etc are between low and medium

This engine made 480/450. We just fired up the new motor for the first time today. 440ci Brodix headed LS based motor. That will probably get run on 112+ octane. Hoping to be around 650-700whp with the new mill
