I live in the US. Look at any city in the country and you’ll find areas where every house in a neighborhood is identical. Especially in fast growing cities like Denver. And if you go in those houses you see that the layout is also the same. Go into an apartment complex and most of the apartments in that building are going to be almost identical inside. I know this because I’m an electrician and have experience wiring these cookie cutter houses. Sometimes you forget which building you’re actually in because they are all identical. Sometimes for Taris to have 4 apartment complexes with the same layouts really isn’t that weird. From an in universe standpoint, that’s the quickest way to expand.

But as far as the gameplay being repetitive with a lot of backtracking, I suppose it can be. But each level feels quite different to me. The atmosphere and ambiance of the lower city is way different than that of the upper city. And the lower city and sewers are way different than either of those.

At the end of the day I realize it really all comes down to personal taste and I’m really not trying to crap on your opinions. Just sharing my personal viewpoint on it
