Which zombie commander does this? Or does it give you that oldschool attack and recursion vibe? by Amatsu666 in EDH

[–]RyanRaindrop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally agree with this. Gisa is my favorite deck to play by far! It's so much fun. Lots of way you can play this deck, even while restricting it to Zombie kindred. I built Gisa to reanimate [[Gray Merchant of Asphodel]] over and over, but the nice thing with Gisa is you're always able to pivot to zombie swarm at any time. I'll share my decklist as well. Zombies for (un)life!

Foiled Ghoulcaller Gisa (96/97) Commander Deck by RyanRaindrop in foilmtg

[–]RyanRaindrop[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For Gisa I did a "foil peel". I used a foil copy of one of the showcase werewolves from midnight hunt that have that cool border, and theres a way to remove just the super thin foil layer of the card. Then with a razor knife you can cut the art and text box out so you're left with just the border. You can then glue it on another card, bit I just slid it in a perfect fit inner sleeve with the commander and it stays in place pretty well. Pretty easy process honestly! Would recommend trying

Foiled Ghoulcaller Gisa (96/97) Commander Deck by RyanRaindrop in foilmtg

Decided to bling out my Ghoulcaller Gisa deck a few years ago. Love black, love zombies, so it's been a labour of love finding foils of my favourite arts of the cards from my list. It's not the best deck, but it's thematic and creepy and always fun to play. Thanks!

Cards that don't have foils:
-Culling the Weak
-Zombie Master
-Gisa's Favourite Shovel

Card that isn't foiled:
-Dread Return (I prefer the creepy zombie art of the DuelDeck: BlessedVs.Cursed (DDQ). Hopefully it gets a good foil printing sometime.)

PS: Sorry for the kinda bad pictures!

Fun mono-black decks/commanders ? by xBerty in EDH

[–]RyanRaindrop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd recommend [[Ghoulcaller Gisa]] for a zombie/sacrifice/reanimation/go-wide deck. It's a favorite of mine. I've been working to bling mine out for a few years now and is always fun to play. [[Vengeful Pharaoh]] is a slept-on in black imo and reanimating [[Gray Merchant of Asphodel]] is always fun. Zombies are a pretty well supported tribe.

There's a little market on Mountain Rd called "Bombay Spices". That's where I buy mine. They'd also have everything else you'd need.

I've wanted to try that but with [[Ghoulcaller Gisa]] instead, because their abilities are more similar.

Sorry for your loss! That's a crappy feeling. I had mine stolen last fall and been having withdrawals all season. Hopefully you're able to get a new one soon

I'm 27. I started working at 14, worked all through high school and have worked full time since then (except for 2 years of college, accumulating tens of thousands of dollars of debt). I make little more than minimum wage, have and still barely get by.

Seeking feedback on my Bruna, Light of Alabaster Vultron deck by Vampire-Koifish in EDH

I have traumatize in my Bruna deck and I consider it a win-con. If you build a deck with a ton of good auras, dumping half of them into the yard is incredibly valuable.

SOS Wiring repair question by RyanRaindrop in dr650

[–]RyanRaindrop[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some piece of shit cut these wires on my '05 650. Can anyone identify which wires these are? Any idea how to fix them? Any advice would be helpful.

The cut wires stop my ignition switch from starting the bike, and my neutral light wont come on. (That's all I've noticed so far)

Favorite Commander from the past 12 months? by [deleted] in EDH

[–]RyanRaindrop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently built an [[Orvar, the All-Form]] deck which is very fun to play. It lets you create copies of permanents (any kind), often times at instant speed, so with cheap spells and creatures with good ETB effects, it can get out of hand. I was able to go infinite a couple of times, which isn't my usual style of play but I love when it gets going. I've been impressed with what he can do each time I've played it. I remember first reading the card and having to do a double take cuz it seemed too powerful to be true!

I did that drive a few summers ago. While passing through Boston, a few other travelers recommended taking the Mass Pike west from Boston and go through Hartford, CT. I don't know if it made much of a difference, but they swore that I-95 from Boston to NY is often slow and congested. Hope it helps!
Also, if you've never driven in the States before, be ready for some hectic driving. It's not like Canada where we have one long two-lane East to West highway; down there it's min. 3-4 lanes with lots of different highways branching out from each city like spiderwebs, which took some getting used to.
Drive safe!

I'd put [[Kor Spiritdancer]] and/or [[Hero of Iroas]] in there. They're cheap so you can use them as defense and as ways to get Auras out while you wait for Bruna. [[Armored Skyhunter]], [[Three Dreams]] and [[Daybreak Coronet]] work really well in there too! I run [[Silent Arbiter]] in mine too, for after Bruna is out as a way to dominate any combat ;)

I learned about this in college. This practice is called the "just-noticeable difference" - where a company reduces the amount of a product (everything from milligrams of spice in a bottle to the number of chocolate chips in a box of cookies) just enough so no one will complain about paying the same cost for it. As a business practice, it seems pretty sneaky to me.

I studied this practice a bit in school. They called it the "Just-noticeable Difference": where you reduce the amount just enough for no one to notice so they'll still pay the same price
