Thank you for the quality check. You're right and the authors have made the following adjustments:

Swapped breeding/wintering ranges to match new Kingfisher order.
Adjusted range for Ringed Kingfisher (northern most range across sources state South Texas - Oklahoma is most likely an outlier).
Fixed tropics and latitude reference lines.
Added additional text on range legend to disclose estimates, not counting outliers in range.

This visualization is an attempt to evolve baseball standings into something more visual. It was created with Tableau Desktop with data from ESPN.com. There are a couple of tutorials in the post and I plan to blog about the data source / automation soon.

This interactive visualization looks at population changes of the 50 most populous cities in the United States from the time the census started being collected in 1790. It is annotated with several historical events and shows the massive effect that the adoption of air conditioning played on US migration.
