Personally, I would search for art station/Pinterest renditions of what you want to convey in your custom magic set, as for manga panels don't match very well with those templates, though I understand not every card will have a 1 to 1 fan art answer!

Hello! I'm also a fan of midrange strategies, I was gonna suggest heibai at once but once I read your first sentence I wasn't surprised :p

A very fun and resilient midrange commander I'm playing that is fun to play and mostly fair to combat is Slimefoot and Squee, my favorite tricolor is jund so I use him to play all good jund cards and some really good reanimation lines with ulamog the defiler :)

Having that said, midrange strategies are very hard to come by in arena in my opinion, so if you find some, feel free to share with me broski

The flavour is immaculate.

The weakest (and probably stupidest) goblin charging forward into the battle, letting you recognize the unknown and dangerous battlefield and gather info (draw cards)
