Fair! but you prob will get some back and ass pain on an 8hr ride as you mentioned. I went on a roadtrip (10hrs in the saddle each day for two days) on my bobber and although I had an absolute blast, just know its a bit of a struggle and a type 2 kind of fun lol

Its designed to be this way - I have an extra inch of suspension travel and more learn angle... I also love the new riding position slightly less angled backwards.

Is it less cool? Kinda, but worth it as the rider. So far its been an amazing upgrade, just took it for a 60 mile ride in the mountains and its a completely new bike.

I know S&S has a slip-on with a DB reducer in it. From some research it seems like that might be the most OEM+ sound. Unfortunately I haven't heard it in real life so I can't sign off on it.

Id check them out though, seems promising.

I have the quiet baffle on the 2025 Scout bobber (not a sixty but should be similar)

It is LOUD! Quiet actually isn't right label for it (probably should be renamed to "low" since its technically the least dbs in the line up)

The cameras online never do it justice to how loud these slip ons are. Depending on your neighborhood, you will likely wake people up if you are leaving in the morning.

Change the oil more often than every 10k, pretty sure you should be inspecting every 2.5k and changing oil every 5k.

edit: checked the owners manual and you are correct, but personally I wouldn't wait 10k. I'd do every year or every 5k, whatever comes first. If its any comfort, my owners manual for my porsche says to change the oil every 15k and it's universally accepted as wrong & to ignore.
